Judicial report: Weather: Fine Race 1. Aranui Gold (M.N.Boyd). 1.9kg down weight variance. Rule 269.3. Mandatory $100 fine imposed.

Race 5. The trainer of Shezmy Scallywag, C.A.Symes, was reminded by the Judicial Steward of 'pre race Parade expectations / policy' including Rule 135.10 which requires an instruction by the Parade Steward and / or Starter to be obeyed at all times.

Race 6. The trainer of Smart Mover, S.L.Ross, was questioned as to the reason for not having arranged a Catcher for this greyhound and was subsequently advised that every effort must be made to secure a catcher and no leniency will be extended again.

Race 7. India was observed and reported to be 'Hard to Box' and delayed the start momentarily. Trainer S.M.Wright was advised that this greyhound will be closely monitored at it's next race start and any reoccurrence may result in a 'Hard to Box' classification being imposed.

Race 10. Following this race the winner, Delta Belle (D.Schofield) had been selected for swabbing. The Swabbing Steward (B.Henwood) was advised accordingly however he proceeded to accompany the second place getter Hypoumunga back to the Security Kennel area before realising the error and advising the Stipendiary Steward accordingly B Henwood was officially reprimanded for not following instructions resulting in the selected post race swab being abandoned.

There were no reported injuries at this race meeting requiring a stand down from racing.

In general, handlers are advised, that their co-operation in complying with pre race parade policy and instructions is greatly appreciated and certainly enhances the visual impression of the sport being projected to 'Trackside' and on-course viewers'.

Race 1 THOMAS WOOD PHOTOGRAPHY DISTANCE - C1d - 630 Aranui Gold was a late scratching due to a 1.9kg down weight variance Under Time and Lindale Express were slow to begin. Den Of Fire was tightened slightly between Shaka Malawi and Miss Teddy Bear on the first turn. Aranui Gold (M.N.Boyd). Late scratching. 1.9kg down weight variance. Rule 269.3. Mandatory fine of $100.00 imposed.
Race 2 WWW.DOGTIPS.NET.NZ DASH - C0 - 375 Ngapuhi Boy was slow to begin. Ona Run and Wairangi Bay came together and checked each other after 25 mtrs. Shanti and Wairangi Bay ran very wide on the home turn.
Race 3 T.A.B. PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE STAKES - C2 - 457 Thrilling Dash, Edna Maycee and Pauly were slow to begin with Thrilling Dash recovering very well to finish 2nd. Pauly was denied racing room between runners on the first turn.
Race 4 MAIDEN DASH - C0 - 375 Ngapuhi Girl missed the start by 4 lengths and never recovered finishing 7th. Charlston Deal and Lichfield Lizzy jostled for several strides on the first turn. Airfield Rush and Boldben Flash came together on the bend. Charlston Deal and Lichfield Lizzy came together twice on the home turn with Charlston Deal being checked, losing ground at a crucial stage but rallying well to finish 3rd.
Race 5 BRUNTWOOD STAKES - C1 - 457 Charlston Kid was very slow to begin and made up a lot of ground to finish 2nd. Number One Gun reared when leaving the boxes. Shezmy Scallywag endeavoured to move outwards on the first turn causing general tightening and varying checks to all runners with the exception of Booming time. Tiger Eyes fell heavily in this incident and was ordered to undergo a Veterinary examination which detected no injury.
Race 6 THOMAS WOOD PHOTOGRAPHY DASH - C1 - 375 Freddy Cougar was slow to begin. Goldfinger Jewel and Smart Mover came together after the start with the latter runner rearing, losing ground and dropping to the rear throughout as a result. Tippy Soprano was denied racing room on the bend and then came together with Miss Tracey Lee on the home turn.
Race 7 MATANGI MAIDEN - C0 - 457 Aranui Tamy was scratched ex Wellington GRC held on 19.04.05. Iza Dance and Aranui Flash came together after the start. Fancy Bonnie and Aranui Pick and then Bet She Can and Fancy Bonnie came together after 30 mtrs. Aranui Flash and Iza Dance came together on the first turn. Tee Bone and Aranui Pick came together for a stride on the home turn. Aranui Tamy (M.N.Boyd). Suspended Rule 322 ex Wellington GRC held on 19.04.05.
Race 8 SUPERIOR GREYHOUND FORMULA SPRINT - C2 - 375 Charlston Flash and Bus Painter were very slow to begin. This Time Boots and Hypo Spencer were slow to begin.
Race 9 IMPROVERS STAKES - C1 - 457 Baltasar was slow to begin then raced up to be midfield before compounding to finish 7th.
Race 10 RACEWAY SPRINT - C4/5 - 375 Jessta Larrikin and More Gold missed the start slightly. Hostile Arch moved off the rail to a wider running position on the bend which carted More Gold very wide.
Race 11 DINSDALE DASH - C1 - 375 Shes Home Soon and Our Freddie were checked between the start and the first turn. Shes Home Soon moved outwards on the bend severely checking Our Shereena as well as pushing it wide.
Race 12 THOMAS WOOD PHOTOGRAPHY STAKES - C3/4 - 457 Four Square was slow to begin then weaved a path through the field and fought on well for 3rd. Mr Pollywaffle was hampered slightly after the start. Big Teddy Boy was tightened and severely checked by Four Square on the first turn and was always near the rear thereafter.
