Race 1	DIMOCKS RETRAVISION STAKES - C2 - 520	ROVING LIGHT raced onto the heels of another runner on the first corner, moved out sharply and badly checked MISS BLUE VELVET and KIWI ASSASSIN who lost all chance.
Race 2	METEOR PRINTERS SPRINT - C4 - 305	YALLAH ROSE was scratched ex Manawatu on 08.04.05. ALI PHOENIX who had won its last two starts, was one of the slowest away and was then denied a run inside ALLEGRO COMET in the race to the first corner. He then went to the outside and covered extra ground around the bend, eventually finishing well back. YALLAH ROSE V.Jackson Ex Manawatu on 08.04.05.
Race 3	EXCEED STAKES - C2 - 520	TERRIFIC TEDDY and ACCORD were both checked on the first bend and went back to the rear and they stayed well back throughout the remainder of the race.
Race 4	BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS SPRINT - C4/5 - 305	CRUZMORE and BLACK ALLEGRO came together and jostled a couple of times in the race to the first corner and they lost some momentum and settled well back.
Race 5	RUSH HIRE STAKES - C3 - 520	CELESTIAL moved out on the home turn and checked DISCLOSE who fell but was not injured.
Race 6	HEADS ROAD VETERINARY STAKES - C4 - 520	GO PEARL GO moved in soon after the start and bumped WINSOME BONNIE and CHEAP WINE and they settled at the rear and raced around the first bend in the last three places. DELUSIVE BALE was denied a run on the last bend when the gap inside BURN THE PEG closed. DELUSIVE BALE recovered to finish in 2nd place.
Race 7	DISPLAY ASSOCIATES FEATURE SPRINT - C3 - 305	NASTY STREAK and JUST LIKE THAT made contact in the race to the first corner and dropped back to near the rear. BOY RACER moved out on the home turn and severely checked NASTY STREAK who finished in last place.
Race 8	WANGANUI STAYERS DISTANCE CHALLENGE CUP - C2d - 755	ATTORNEY GENERAL was checked on the first corner and shuffled back to the rear.
Race 9	WANGANUI SECURITY STAKES - C4/5 - 520	FINE PROFIT, who had not started for over three months was last away, could not keep up and tailed the field home by several lengths. The favourite THRILLING SAM was held up for a few strides entering the last bend and once in the clear, he finished well for a close second.
Race 10	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES SPRINT - C2/3 - 305	All clear.
