Race 1	OXFORD SPORTS & EDUCATION SPRINT - C1 - 297	The favourite BEST TELL BRIAN was very slow to begin and never made up the lost ground, finishing well back. TINKAMORE was checked on the first turn and lost ground but recovered to finish well for 4th place CHEWCHEW FUDDLE suffered a quadricep injury during the race and was stood down for 14 days.. CHEWCHEW FUDDLE J.Chatfield Rule 329 Suffered a quadricep injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 19.04.05.
Race 2	PAUL CLARIDGE ELECTRICAL SPRINT - C2 - 297	MISS CHEEKY was a late scratching due to a toe injury. The favourite BEST TELL ROSE was the slowest away but recovered to run on for 4th placing. PEEL RIDGE SUE ran out on the first corner and collided with HELLO SAILOR who was pushed out onto HURRICANE FOG.and they all lost ground. MISS CHEEKY M.Gardner Rule 259 A late scratching due to a toe injury and stood down for 21 days to and including 26.04.05.
Race 3	ALBION TAVERN MAIDEN STAKES - C0 - 505	TIMELY CHAINSAW and JUSTA SILVERSTAR were checked on the first bend and lost ground which affected their chances of a closer placing.
Race 4	WENHAM GRAIN & SEED SPRINT - C1 - 297	RUSTY COCONUT was a late scratching when not presented. The dog was stood down for 30 days under Rule 257 (1) and the Trainer was fined $ 150-00 under Rule 135 (1). WINSOME LEEDS was scratched due to a seasonal complaint. ICEYMORE ran onto the back of HOMEBUSH SNIPPET on the bend when they were leading the field and they both lost ground but recovered to finish 2nd and 3rd. RUSTY COCONUT A.Cobain Rule 257 (1) A late scratching when not presented and stood down for 30 days to and including 05.05.05. WINSOME LEEDS S.Hood Rule 258 (3) Scratched due to a seasonal complaint and stood down for 30 days to and including 04.05.05.
Race 5	OUTBACK TRADING STAKES - C1 - 505	UPAHUT ROSE was a club scratching after being withdrawn by the Trainer prior to the draw and this was not actioned at that time. All clear. UPAHUT ROSE D.Meates A Club scratching.
Race 6	AWAPUNI MOTOR HOTEL MANAWATU OAKS FINAL - R/Af - 505	TIME TO REMEMBER was tightened and fell in the race towards the first corner and SILK RIPPLE and FRANNY HALL were also checked and settled at the rear. TIME TO REMEMBER was examined by the vet and found to have a dew claw injury and was stood down for 7 days. The winner of the race CALL ME CUTE was nominated for swabbing but due to the fact that this information was not passed to the Swab Steward and the dogs attendant, CALL ME CUTE was not sent to the swab area. The official concerned was advised to exercise more care. TIME TO REMEMBER D.Kingston Rule 329 Suffered a dew claw injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 12.04.05.
Race 7	MANAWATU HARNESS SPRINT - C2/3 - 297	All clear.
Race 8	AWAPUNI MOTOR HOTEL MANAWATU DERBY FINAL - R/Af - 505	DUSTY NERO was galloped on by INSIDE BLUE on the first corner and lost ground. BLACK TIBET was checked on the first corner, ran out and pushed TEDDY HALL wide on the bend.
Race 9	MANAWATU SECURITY SERVICES - C4/5 - 297	One of the favourites BEST TELL PIE was last into the first corner after drawing the eight box and she stayed well back.
Race 10	MANAWATU TV & SOUND STAKES - C2/3 - 505	BRAVE GYPSY was handy starting on the last bend but appeared to collide with OPAWA GAS, dipped badly and dropped away to last. The Judicial Steward reported that BRAVE GYPSY appeared to be sore after the race but the Veterinarian was unable to find anything amiss with the dog.
