Race 1	AWAPUNI HURDLES - C1/2h - 505	ARANUI SUNRISE was a late scratching due to a toe injury. One of the favourites ARANUI JAZZ led into the second hurdle in the back straight but fell on landing. The dog was quickly on its feet and finished 6th to complete the T.A.B Six Pack. OFF THE BENCH faltered on landing over the first hurdle in the back straight and dropped out to finish a long last. ARANUI JAZZ and OFF THE BENCH were both examined by the vet with ARANUI JAZZ being cleared and OFF THE BENCH was found to have a severe leg injury and was humanely euthanased. ARANUI SUNRISE M.Boyd Rule 259 A late scratching due to a toe injury and was presented and stood down for 5 days to and including 21.03.05. OFF THE BENCH B.Jordan Rule 329 Suffered serious injuries to forelegs and was euthanased.
Race 2	MANAWATU OAKS - HEAT 1 - R/Aq - 505 Heat 1	LATASHA was the last away and stayed well back until entering the last bend when it was observed that she eased noticably. at the time, there was a runner just ahead and another on the outside but it could not be conclusively established whether LATASHA was tightened or not but she will be closely observed in future starts. LATASHA finished well back.
Race 3	MANAWATU OAKS - HEAT 2 - R/Aq - 505 Heat 1	NINIA'S LASS was the slowest away and tailed the field by several lengths and finished a long last. The dog was examined by the vet and cleared of any injuries at that time.
Race 4	MANAWATU OAKS - HEAT 3 - R/Aq - 505 Heat 1	JANE DOE was scratched due to a toe injury. NGAPUHI GIRL and KIWI SUMMER missed the start by several lengths and they tailed the field throughout and filled the last two places. GENTLE LEE ran wide throughout, covered extra ground and also finished well back. JANE DOE D.Garrett Rule 259 Has a toe injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 28.03.05.
Race 5	OXFORD HOTEL STAKES - C1 - 505	The favourite DINAH WASHINGTON was tightened back to near the rear early in the race and then recovered well to make up ground for 3rd placing.
Race 6	MANAWATU DERBY - HEAT 1 - R/Aq - 505 Heat 1	GUNGULLIN was checked entering the back straight and lost ground. The winner TEDDY HALL was nominated for swabbing but due to a communication breakdown, the dog was not accompanied to the swabbing area and was released.
Race 7	MANAWATU DERBY - HEAT 2 - R/Aq - 505 Heat 1	The favourite MANAWA NUI and MONDO CANPIONE were tightened and checked soon after the start and settled well back. MANAWA NUI recovered to make up ground for 3rd place while MONDO CANPIONE finished in last place.
Race 8	GERRANDS GEMTIME JEWELLERS HAWERA - C4 - 297	The favourite JODAMAN was handy into the first turn but was checked when LOVE THE HABIT moved out slightly and this ruined JODAMAN'S chance of a placing.
Race 9	IN MEMORY OF PETER PAGE - C1/2 - 505	One of the favourites RUSTY COCONUT led in the early and middle stages but faded in the straight to finish 5th. BRAVE GYPSY had to check off the heels of EDGAR JAY on the final bend and lost momentum for a few strides. ARANUI GOLD was tightened and checked in the first few strides and lost several lengths and all chance of a placing. ARANUI GOLD eventually finished in 2nd last place.
Race 10	BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C2 - 297	HELLO SAILOR was checked on the first corner, moved out sharply and pushed TIMTAGEL STAR and EDNA MAYCEE very wide on the track and this ruined their chance of a placing and they filled the last three places at the finish.
