Judicial report: Weather: Fine Inquiry adjourned from Manawatu on 20.02.05. Mrs J Lowen was fined $ 150-00 under Rule 135 (1) when sh failed to present the dog SHAKA MALAWI to race.
The clubs Chief Executive was issued with a warning after failing to notify a scratching by the required time.

Race 1 MAXILAB PHOTOS DASH - C0 - 305 PANIA'S REEF was scratched due to an injury. MILLUNA GIRL was the slowest away and then ran onto the heels of another runner and dropped out to finish last. The favourite KINSELLA galloped on the back of NGAPUHI BOY on the first corner and fell but was uninjured. PENMANS PAL ran out wide in the back straight but then recovered to win well. The clubs Chief Executive ommitted to clear the answerphone and missed the message to scratch PANIA'S REEF. As a result the race was a seven dog field and the Chief Executive was warned that a repitition woud result in a charge. PANIA'S REEF S.Gardner Rule 259 Suffering from a webbing injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 11.03.05.
Race 2 METEOR PRINTERS FEATURE STAKES - C0 - 520 .HOKIO STAR ran in on the first corner and checked WAITOTARA DEVIL who moved out and collided with ARANUI TAMY. They lost several lengths and all chance and finished well back. WAITOTARA DEVIL was again checked on the home turn when NINIA'S LASS moved out.
Race 3 WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES SPRINT - C1 - 305 UNO A WHISPER was scratched due to a seasonal complaint. MILO OSHEA was the slowest away but recovered to run on for 3rd placing. HURRICANE CULLY was handy on the first corner but was then checked back to near the rear when LOIS HAND moved in and he stayed back there. UNO A WHISPER S.Clark Rule 258 (3) Has a seasonal complaint and stood down for 30 days to and including 01.04.05.
Race 4 EXCEED '305' - C1 - 305 The hot favourite WINSOME TODD was very slow to begin but recovered to make up ground until checked by SECRET PRINCE on the final bend. WINSOME TODD then recovered to run 2nd. There was some jostling in the back straight and one of the favourites PEPPERONNI was tightened and checked.
Race 5 RUSH HIRE '520' - C1 - 520 All clear.
Race 6 DOUBLE 'S' MOTORDROME DASH - C2/3 - 305 JO JO SAM began very awkwardly and lost several lengths and all chance. There was general tightening in the race to the first corner and this resulted in checks to THRILLING CODY and CALL ME CUTE who also lost all chance.
Race 7 DISPLAY ASSOCIATES SPRINT - C4/5 - 305 WAIWERATAI, WINSOME TIGER, ARANUI JAZZ and ZEPHYR ZEAL jostled together for several strides in the back straight and WAIWERATAI and ARANUI JAZZ lost several lengths.
Race 8 HEADS ROAD VETERINARY '520' - C2 - 520 EDGAR JAY was scratched due to an injury. LATASHA dropped out to finish a long last and was examined by the vet and stood down for 7 days with a bruised stifle joint. EDGAR JAY A.Cobain Rule 259 Suffering from soreness in a fore foot and stood down for 10 days to and including 11.03.05. LATASHA A.Hall Rule 329 Suffered a bruised stifle joint and stood down for 7 days to and including 09.03.05.
Race 9 DA MORRISONS '305' - C1 - 305 All clear.
Race 10 WANGANUI SECURITY DASH - C2 - 305 The favourite GREEN MILE was tightened and shuffled back in the race to the first corner but then recovered to make up ground for 3rd place.
