Race 1	NEW YEAR DASH - C0 - 290	MISS CHIFF was scratched due to injury. MYSTERY MOSS and TELL HIM MUM collided on the first turn and MYSTERY MOSS lost ground. BESSIE BUNTA faltered on the first turn and dropped out to finish several lengths last. She was checked by the vet and stood down for 14 days with hip muscle soreness. MISS CHIFF D.Kettlewell Rule 259 Scratched due to a toe injury and stood down for 30 days to and including 08.03.05. BESSIE BUNTA E.Gosnell Rule 329 Suffered back muscle soreness and stood down for 14 days to and including 22.02.05.
Race 2	GRADUATION SPRINT - C1 - 290	HOMEBUSH LUCKY forced PITSTOCK JAZZ and BANJO COUNTRY wide on the first corner and ruined their chances.
Race 3	WESTERN AUTO MART - C1 - 545	MYSTERY ELLIE was scratched due to injury. EARL MCROBERTS crossed to the rail on the first corner and badly checked the hot favourite SCANDINAVIAN and they both fell and brought down KIWI MANA. They were checked by the vet and all were cleared of injuries. COMMANDO JEWEL was badly hindered in the incident and lost all chance. MYSTERY ELLIE O.Marron Rule 259 Suffering from a toe injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 17.02.05.
Race 4	MIAMI CATERING DASH - C0 - 290	ICEYMORE ran onto the back of the favourite REBECCA'S PAL on the first turn and checked that runner who lost several lengths. ICEYMORE was then observed to ease up in the straight and just held on to win. It was initially suspected that ICEYMORE had failed to persue throughout but on examination by the vet it was discovered that the dog had a sore pad with a corn and in the vets opinion, this would have contributed to ICEYMORE easing in the straight. A 10 day stand down was imposed by the vet. ICEYMORE S.Gardner Rule 329 Suffered from a bruised pad with a corn and stood down for 10 days to and including 18.02.05.
Race 5	K9 PETFOODS SPRINT - C1 - 290	CELESTIAL was the slowest away but recovered to run on for 2nd place. ANTONIO was checked on the first corner but also recovered to run 3rd.
Race 6	GLADSTONE BOARDING KENNELS - C2/3 - 545	CLYDEBANK was scratched after gaining a start in Race 9. CLAIRE EYES was scratched due to injury. HE'S A BLUR and TANNOCHBRAE collided and lost ground on the first corner. CLYDEBANK O.Marron Started in Race 9. CLAIRE EYES W.Morris Rule 259 Suffering from a toe injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 17.02.05.
Race 7	SOUTH WAIRARAPA VETERINARY ASSOC - C1 - 290	KNIGHT TROOPER ran wide on the bend and forced MISS CHANTELLE very wide and ruined its chance of a placing. KNIGHT TROOPER was examined by the vet and found to be suffering from a hip muscle injury and was stood down for 10days. KNIGHT TROOPER D.Little Rule 329 Suffering from a hip muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 18.02.05.
Race 8	GIB WAIRARAPA HURDLES STAKES - C1/2h - 545	OUR MICK fell at the first hurdle, then regained its feet and crossed the line some distance behind the field. OUR MICK was not injured.
Race 9	WAIRARAPA CUP - C5 - 545	KEEN PRECISION was a late scratching due to being underweight and the Trainer was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 269 (3). TIGHNABRUICH, SAVIOLA and FINE PROFIT were scratched due to injury. The race was all clear. KEEN PRECISION C.Morris Rule 269 (3) A late scratching due to being underweight but no stand down. Trainer C.Morris was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 269 (3). TIGHNABRUICH O.Marron Rule 259 Suffering from a swollen toe and stood down for 10 days to and including 18.02.05. SAVIOLA O.Marron Rule 259 Suffering from a split webbing and stood down for 10 days to and including 15.02.05. FINE PROFIT Trainer G.Caffell Rule 259 Suffering from a toe injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 21.02.05.
Race 10	MASTERTON A & P SPRINT - C2/3 - 290	HELLO SAILOR was very slow to begin and settled last. In the approach to the straight entrance, HELLO SAILOR fell but was not injured. MYSTIC DANCER was hindered by the fallen dog and lost several lengths.
