Judicial report: Weather: Fine / Warm Race 3. Following the running of this race a verbal complaint was received from the Officiating Veterinary Surgeon regarding comments broadcasted in relation to him, by the Racecaller, after the race. Following investigation the Racecaller was spoken to advisedly by the Stipendiary Steward in relation to an improper comment made.
Race 10. Arnies First (F.D.Farmer) was a late scratching under Rule 269.3 due to being 2.1kg under weight from it's previous race start. An automatic fine of $100 was imposed.

Race 1 STREETS ICE CREAM DASH - C1 - 318 Grasscutter Bob was very slow to begin. Tandias Girl ran inwards at the start checking Peter Hand. Farmer John ran outwards at the start and came together with Bus Painter. Kath and Tandias Girl jostled after 60mtrs and again on entering the first turn. Grasscutter Bob, Paddle Foot and Farmer John collided entering the first turn with Paddle Foot being severely checked, almost falling and losing all chance. Bus Painter was also checked in this incident. Peter Hand galloped on the heels of Kath on the first turn with both runners being severely checked
Race 2 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C1 - 527 Duchess Fern was scratched ex Christchurch GRC on 25.01.05. Ashbourne Boss missed the start by 3 lengths. Number One Gun, Mo Mistress and Booming Time came together after 15mtrs. Mo Mistress, Number One Gin, Justa Toff and Ashbourne Boss were all tightened and denied racing room on the first turn partly caused by Booming Time running off the rail sharply. Our Madge was hampered in this incident. Justa Toff and Ashbourne Boss came together on the first bend. Booming Time raced handy during the running, appeared to falter and lose focus on the final bend then drifted out to finish last. A Veterinary examination was ordered which revealed lameness in both front legs requiring a stand down from racing. Duchess Fern (G.A.Cleeve). Scratched ex Christchurch GRC held on 25.01.05. Booming Time (R.P.O'Regan). Lameness in both front legs and bruised ventral toes / thinned pads. Rule 329. 10 days up to and including 06.02.05.
Race 3 COCA-COLA STAKES - C2 - 527 Just The Don was scratched ex Waikato GRC on 26.01.05. Comical Ali was scratched due to injury. Poco King was slow. Den Of Fire came together after 20 mtrs. Osbourne moved inwards sharply nearing the first turn checking itself and in a chain reaction checked Stabila Boss, Rich Fire, Den Of Fire, Miss Teddy Bear and Top Allegro. Miss Teddy Bear moved outwards on the home turn checking Den Of Fire. Just The Don (J.B.Hastie). Scratched ex Waikato GRC held on 26.01.05. Comical Ali (J.B.Hastie). Head abrasions and wrist soreness. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 7 days up to and including 03.02.05.
Race 4 TINT-A-CAR DASH - C2 - 318 Sonny Boy Jones, Smooth Harry and Don Paulie came together after 25 mtrs. Sonny Boy Jones endeavoured to move inwards on the first turn severely checking itself, Don Paulie and Hello Darling with Smooth Harry also being checked in the incident when Don Paulie tried to extract itself from the interference by moving outwards.
Race 5 AUCKLAND OAKS FINAL - R/Af - 527 Thrilling May was observed by the Veterinary Surgeon and Stipendiary Steward to be walking uncomfortably in both the parade ring and towards the starting point and was therefore ordered to undergo a further veterinary examination prior to being boxed which detected no adverse condition. Thrilling May, Charlston Zoom and Silk Ripple came together on the first turn then Thrilling May endeavoured to push outwards shortly after which caused a further chain reaction of interference involving Rollover Angel, Charlston Zoom, Tiger Time and Silk Ripple. Silk Ripple appeared to contact the running rail momentarily nearing the home turn.
Race 6 AUCKLAND DERBY FINAL - R/Af - 527 Orphan Assassin was boxed first due to a current 'Hard to Box' categorisation and was observed by the Stewards' to be difficult. Light Pockets, Orphan Assassin, Pauly and Tippy Soprano were all slow to begin. Light Pockets and Tippy Soprano came together after 15mtrs. Fancy Style ran off the rail nearing the first turn severely checking Tippy Soprano and hampering Light Pockets.
Race 7 RADIO PACIFIC DASH - C3 - 318 Black Tyler was a late scratching due to illness. Tarrah was slow to begin. Waitak Attack, Lucky Lipinski and Poetical came together and suffered severe checks nearing the first turn. Rumpole galloped on the heels of Jeepers on the first turn with both runners being severely checked. Rumpole was denied racing room behind Flying Tuskey on the bend. Black Tyler (R.P.O'Regan). Late scratching. Vomiting, tender abdomen, moderate hydration. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 5 days up to and including 01.02.05.
Race 8 CAROL'S TAB STAKES - C2 - 527 Claire Eyes was scratched due to injury Overload, Bibiana Bale and Trendy Time ran inwards at the start causing tightening and checks to each other plus Ladylike Token, Coruba Storm and Just Curly. Trendy Time endeavoured to move outwards on the turn into the back straight checking Bibiana Bale which was racing on its outer. Claire Eyes (W.Morris). Diarrhoea. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 3 days up to and including 29.01.05.
Race 9 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING STAKES - C3/4 - 527 He's Hypo and Winsome Guy were slow to begin. Lindale Express moved inwards at the start checking Trendy Rhode and Thrilling Floyd. Lindale Express, Shooshla, He's Hypo and Thrilling Floyd came together on the first bend.
Race 10 ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND DASH - C4/5 - 318 Old Monaro was scratched due to injury. Fashion Victim was scratched due to injury. Arnies First was a late scratching due to a 2.1kg weight variance from it's previous race start. Gold Amore was slow to begin. Gold Amore and Love Of History jostled nearing the first turn. Gold Amore and Le Mans Song came together on the first turn with both runners being severely checked as a result. Love Of History was also checked in the backwash from this incident. Old Monaro (G.A.Cleeve). Split webbing near- front. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 05.02.05. Arnies First (F.D.Farmer). Late scratching. 2.1kg under weight from previous race start. Rule 269.3. Fine imposed. Fashion Victim (Walsh / Charters). Sore lower cervical musculature. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 05.02.05 ( Registration papers and race record card to be produced to Stipendiary Steward for endorsement).
