TELL HIM MUM ran in from the start and caused severe checks to GLORIA'S MATE and NINIA'S LASS and they lost all chance. NOOKOMAI G.Frost Rule 259 Suffering from conjunctivitis and stood down for 10 days to and including 28.01.05.
Race 2	SPICER'S PAPER 305 - C1 - 305	GREY HAVOC was the slowest away, settled at the rear and then ran on well over the final stages.
Race 3	HEADS ROAD VETERINARY 520 - C1 - 520	HAMMER MY HEART began very awkwardly and settled last. EARL MCROBERTS and THRILLING BELLE collided and jostled for several strides on the first bend and dropped back to the rear.
Race 4	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES SPRINT - C0 - 305	KEEN RETURN was a late scratching when found to be underweight and the Trainer was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 269 (3). MILLUNA GIRL was scratched due to a seasonal complaint. PANIA'S REEF galloped on the heels of MISS CHIFF on the first corner and they both lost a little ground. They recovered well for MISS CHIFF to run 2nd and PANIA'S REEF to run 3rd. MILLUNA GIRL D.Donlon Rule 258 (3) In season and stood down for 30 days to and including 18.02.05. KEEN RETURN M.Boyd Rule 269 (3) Underweight and a late scratching. Trainer fined $ 100-00 under Rule 269 (3).
Race 5	HOUSE OF TRAVEL DASH - C0 - 305	KINSELLA and SABRE WIND were both scratched Ex Manawatu on 18.01.05. TARNS A GO galloped on the heels of CALM MYSTIQUE on the first corner and they dropped back quickly onto TOUCHERS GIFT. MIAMIGO and VIKING SABRE collided on the bend and lost momentum. MIAMIGO moved out on the home turn and checked COLONIAL COOL, CALM MYSTIQUE and TARNS A GO. KINSELLA S.Gardner Ex Manawatu on 18.01.05 SABRE WIND B.Hood Ex Manawatu on 18.0105
Race 6	EXCEED STAKES - C0 - 520	CHARLSTON FLASH was a late scratching when found to be underweight and the Trainer was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 269 (3). HARMONEYES and PURELY AWESOME collided and lost a little ground on the first bend. PURELY AWESOME eased for several strides in the back straight and dropped back several places from 2ND and finished near the rear.The vets inspection revealed a spike wound and some grazing and a 7 day spell was ordered. CHARLSTON FLASH M.Lozell Rule 269 (3) Underweight and a late scratching. The Trainer was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 269 (3). PURELY AWESOME B.Marsh Rule 329 Suffered from a spike wound and a grazed leg and stood down for 7 days to and including 27.01.05.
Race 7	ASR SPRAY PAINTING 305 - C1 - 305	BANJO COUNTRY moved out in the race to the first corner and checked MR BIG HEAD who lost some ground. MINNIE LASS was checked on the first corner and dropped back to last and stayed there.
Race 8	MAXILAB SPRINT - C1 - 305	MILO O'SHEA was scratched due to injury. SAILAH JAYNE and WINSOME TODD were slow to begin with SAILAH JAYNE staying back to finish near the rear but WINSOME TODD recovered to race into 2nd place. MILO O'SHEA B & E Gough Rule 259 Suffering from a bruised toe and stood down for 10 days to and including 28.01.05.
Race 9	WANGANUI SECURITY SERVICES 520 - C2 - 520	All clear.
Race 10	DISPLAY ASSOCIATES 305 - C2 - 305	The favourite THRILLING VENUS raced onto the heels of TIMTAGEL STAR when attempting to improve on the bend and went back quickly checking GUILT TRIP and RALPH.. They never recovered and filled the last three places
Race 11	DA MORRISONS DASH - C2 - 305	HURRICANE FOG and SUNSET RUN missed the start by several lengths and lost all chance of a placing.
Race 12	RUSH HIRE STAKES - C1 - 520	YUKON LANE was scratched due to injury. OPAWA GAS ran in from the start and checked TARTAN FLYER and DESTINY'S RUN and they settled at the rear. The favourite WHATA SHAME led all the way until the final stages but then faded to finish just behind the placegetters. YUKON LANE A.Dugancich Rule 259 Has an infected toe and stood down for 7 days to and including 27.01.05.
