RICH AND BLUE raced out wide but finished very well to win. PUNI FIRE finished several lengths last and was examined by the vet and cleared of injury. |

LADY BRIANA then showed speed to race into mid-field but along with NINIA'S LASS and ARANUI TAMY, she was badly checked on the first corner and they lost several lengths and filled the last three places. | Race 6 | RUSH HIRE STAKES - C0 - 520 | MIAMIGO, HANG ON MATE and FOREST HILL came together and jostled for several strides in the race around the first bend and lost ground as a result. MIAMIGO finished a long last and was examined by the vet and found to have suffered from a spike wound but did not require a stand down. |

She just held her position from there to finish 4th. KIWI MANA was checked entering the back straight and dropped back several lengths. |
| Race 8 | BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS SPRINT - C1/2 - 305 | BEST TELL PIE moved in on the first corner and caused tightening to TAKE PRIDE, LISSADELL MAC and TEMPEST REIGN. TAKE PRIDE pulled up soon after with an obvious leg injury and TEMPEST REIGN finished a long last and also suffered a leg injury. Both were examined by the vet with TEMPEST REIGN being euthanased due to a fractured hock and TAKE PRIDE was stood down for 30 days with a stifle injury. NITE HAWK LADY and TIMTAGEL STAR were pushed wide on the bend when TEMPEST REIGN dropped back and they lost all chance. TAKE PRIDE N.Udy Rule 329 Suffered a Stifle injury and stood down for 30 days to and including 12.02.05. TEMPEST REIGN D.Battersby Rule 329 Suffered a fractured hock and euthanased. |
