Race 2	B & P ENGINEERING STAKES - C1 - 545	TURBO ROYALE was scratched and started in race 7. SANTOFT TIGER was a late scratching when found to have a toe injury. DANCING BOHEMIAN was bumped and pushed wide on the first turn. TURBO ROYALE Started in race 7. SANTOFT TIGER B.Wingate Late scratching Rule 259 Has a toe injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 12.01.05.
Race 3	WAIRARAPA RACING CLUB SCURRY - C0 - 290	WHEELCHAIR JIM was a late scratching when overweight and the Trainer was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 269 (3). SIXTEEN GAUGE ran wide on the bend and forced LICHFIELD LIZZY wide over extra ground. They finished in the last two places. WHEELCHAIR JIM A.Elers Rule 269 (3) . Race 4	MASTERTON A & P STAKES - C1 - 290	FARMER BENSON was a club scratching without penalty. HOMEBUSH FLIPPER turned in the boxes and lost all chance. The dog is required to undergo a box trial under Rule 179 (1) before its next start. CECILIA TONY ran out and badly checked MISS CHANTELLE and ARDISHAH soon after the start and then moved out again approaching the home turn and checked ARDISHAH again. A vets inspection was ordered on CECILIA TONY and this revealed a painful muscle injury and a 10 day stand down was ordered. FARMER BENSON B&L Craik A club scratching without penalty. CECILIA TONY P.Knight Rule 329 Suffered a muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 12.01.05. HOMEBUSH FLIPPER P.Blanche Rule 179 (1) Turned in the boxes and now required to box trial.
Race 5	WESTERN AUTOMART STAKES - C2/3 - 545	TERRIFIC TEDDY and TRUANT were scratched and started in race 9. TOKEN WARRIOR moved out on the first corner and jostled JUNIOR RHODE for a few strides. TERRIFIC TEDDY and TRUANT were scratched and started in race 9.
Race 6	HAPPY CAMPER DASH - C1 - 290	JUMBO FLASH and HOMEBUSH LUCKY both ran wide and covered extra ground on the bend.
Race 7	GOBIS CLUB SERIES FINAL - RESf - 545	The start of this event was 2 minutes late when the Photo finish operator was late to his position. He was reminded of his obligations to ensure that he is in position by the required time. TIGHNABRUICH ran in from the start and tightened UPAHUT ROSE, UPAHUT AXION and TURBO ROYALE and they lost ground in the incident. KEEN PRECISION C.Morris Rule 259 Was scratched due to a wrist injury and and stood down for 10 days to and including 09.01.05. SCANDINAVIAN O.Marron Rule 259 Was scratched due to a toe injury and presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 08.01.05. UPAHUT AXION D.Meates Rule 329 Suffering from an elevated temperature and stood down for 7 days to and including 09.01.05.
Race 8	RANCHMAN'S PET FOOD NZ CHAMPIONSHIP HURDLES - C1/2hf - 545	SHAKA MALAWI dropped out to last on the first bend and he tailed the field by several lengths for most of the remainder of the race.
Race 9	INTERPROVINCIAL CHALLENGE - C2/3 - 545	RIALTO REASON was a club scratching without penalty. FANTASY SHIFTER was scratched due to an injured leg. One of the favourites CLYDEBANK collided with MOANA NUI in the first couple of strides and they were at the rear into the first corner. TRUANT checked UPAHUT LOONY as he went to the lead on the first bend. RIALTO REASON B & L Craik Club scratching without penalty. FANTASY SHIFTER G & S Hayden- Holmes Rule 259 Has a leg injury and stood down for 30 days to and including 31.01.05.
Race 10	G.I.B STAKES - C2 - 290	This race was started 3 minutes late due to a false start at the harness races. TANNOCHBRAE moved out on the first corner and checked MISS NEMINBO who lost several lengths, BOY RACER who fell but was not injured and MYSTIC DANCER. TANNOCHBRAE ran very wide on the bend over extra ground and then ran home strongly for 2nd placing.
