Judicial report: Weather: Fine The inquiry adjourned on 26 November 2004 in respect of trainer MJ Lelliott for a breach of Rule 135.1 was reconvened and a fine of $25.00 imposed .

Race 1 PEDIGREE ADVANCE STAKES - C1 - 520 AQUA COSTI and CLAN IVORY lost all chance when tightened soon after the jump, filling the last two places In the home straight SHADY'S MATE ran up alongside CECILIA PHAROAH getting up for second in the last stride. A charge under Rule 322(1)(b) was preferred against SHADY'S MATE, with the dog stood down for a period of one month under Rule 322(2)(a). SHADY'S MATE (LJ Waretini) Rule 322(1)(a) one month up to and including 20 January 2005 and to undertake a satisfactory trial under Rule 179.
Race 2 BARRONS SUPPLIES SPRINT - C0 - 295 ROAMING PARIS and VOO DOO were slow to jump. Across the top ROAMING PARIS and DOGGED PURSUIT came together losing ground, finishing at the rear with VOO DOO.
Race 3 SHIRLEY VETERINARY SPRINT - C1 - 295 Into the first bend SMASHNOVA was tightened by MULBERRY ROGUE drifting out to finish last. TRINITY STAR ran wide around the bend finishing near the rear.
Race 4 INDEPENDENT CARPETS STAKES - C0 - 520 The favourite GIVEN THE BLUES and I'M LAUGHING NOW were slow to jump before both were held up when trying to improve into the first bend. Into the back straight TE PIRITA COYOTE and GIVEN THE BLUES came together for a number of strides losing ground. GIVEN THE BLUES finished strongly along the rail in the straight for fourth with I'M LAUGHING NOW third.
Race 5 SUPERPETS SPRINT - C1 - 295 ROLLEN and JIM drifted to the rear on jumping finishing amongst the tailenders.
Race 6 WILSONS SPORTS BAR & TAB SPRINT - C0 - 295 WHATA TOWN jumped last before improving along the rail around the bend to win easily. HOMEBUSH TRUMP and BIRDIE JEWEL came together soon after the jump losing all chance. KNOWLEDGE (JV Busch) left hind sesamoid pain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 259. 14 days up to and including 31 December 2004.
Race 7 FLAIR SPRINT - C1 - 295 WATTA FLYER and VENETIA SHINES came together into the first bend losing all chance filling the last two places. GLITZY OPAL jumped to a clear lead to run away and win easily.
Race 8 GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND STAKES - C2 - 520 CHALLENGER BALE drifted to last on jumping improving down the back before finishing fast along the rail for fourth. Into the first bend SATIN ANGEL, ASTRA NOMACOOL and PICNIC DAY were checked losing ground. PICNIC DAY finished well for second. ESCAPADE (M&J Jopson) diarrhoea. Veterinary certificate supplied. Race 9 CONTAINERS DIRECT INTERTRADE SPRINT - C1/2 - 295 TARARA APE jumped straight to the lead to run away and win easily.
Race 10 NUTRI-ZING STAKES - C1 - 520 MARIO SCENARIO settled last finishing strongly for third. Into the first bend IDOLISE ME, FORCEFUL HABIT and ROSZEL BALE came together losing ground. FORCEFUL HABIT and ROSZEL BALE ran on well with IDOLISE ME finishing last. Soon after this incident FRENCH SPARROW ran wide when leading taking LADYLIKE TOKEN wide. LADYLIKE TOKEN ran on well to win with FRENCH SPARROW finishing near the rear. HOMEBUSH HOPE (JT McInerney) stood down at Wanganui GRC on 17 December 2004. Rule 329. 5 days up to and including 21 December 2004.
Race 11 KOLORFUL KANVAS SPRINT - C1/2 - 295 HOMEBUSH BOY was slow from the inside box settling last. Into the first bend LAKOTA GOLD, PITCAIRN ACE and OZZY JOHN were checked as a result of general tightening. OZZY JOHN ran on for fourth with the other two finishing at the rear with HOMEBUSH BOY.
Race 12 ALPHA PROCESSING STAKES - C0 - 520 HOMEBUSH MARGRET was slow to jump never improving during the running. Into the first bend LITEN THE LOAFER, BURNHAM POWER and an improving HOMEBUSH MARGRET were checked. At the end of the back straight MISTRESS BELLA was tightened finishing midfield with LITEN THE LOAFER and BURNHAM POWER. OZARK'S ANGEL (JV Busch) in season. Race 13 BARRY GURDLER SAND SUPPLIES SPRINT - C1 - 295 The favourite JACK WEBBER was slow to jump before driving between dogs around the first bend, finishing on for second.
Race 14 DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER STAKES - C1 - 520 TRINITY STORM ran wide around the first bend and down the back straight finishing near the rear. HOMEBUSH PHIL ran to a clear lead down the back straight before compounding in the home straight impeding a number of dogs to finish last. A post race veterinary check revealed the dog to have tied up with no stand down recommended.
Race 15 GEORGE CALVERT CLEANING SPRINT - C1 - 295 MULBERRY BEAN and TRINITY SAINT were slow to jump both finishing near the rear. RUFF STUFF (JA McMillan) left wrist sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 29 December 2004. JOHN'S BLUEY (JT McInerney) tail surgery. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 259. 5 days up to and including 23 December 2004.
Race 16 SOUTHERN TRUST STAKES - C1 - 520 INDICATIVE, OLD JOE and TE PIRITA TIGER were slow to jump. Into the first bend SAMMY HAVOC struck the hindquarters of STYLISH LOVER losing momentum. STYLISH LOVER ran on for second with TE PIRITA TIGER finishing well for third.
Race 17 SOUTHERN DOG ROLL SPRINT - C0 - 295 IM THE BOSS and RAINING MAN drifted out soon after jumping. Into the first bend the favourite and winner REGIMENT JEWEL ran outwards tightening TEDDY JUNCTION, ANTONI BEE and SUPER TOMMY, these three losing all chance finishing at the rear alongside IM THE BOSS with RAINING MAN running on well for second.
Race 18 ADDINGTON RACEWAY SPRINT - C1/2 - 295 HOMEBUSH BLAZE drifted to the rear after the jump never improving. The favourite TRINITY TRANCE settled midfield before finishing strongly in the straight to win.
Race 19 ROLL-ON CHRISTMAS DAY SPRINT - C1 - 295 MULBERRY CHELLE and LAST ORDERS were slow to jump with HOMEBUSH JESS drifting soon after the jump. MULBERRY CHELLE finished fast along the rail for second with the other two finishing at the rear. ROOK THE RAVEN (A Joyce) left wrist pain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Race 20 CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C2 - 520 JUDYANNE BALE was tightened by GIVEN TITLE on her outer into the first bend, drifting to last before finishing strongly along the rail in the home straight for fifth. ZINGER'S REVENGE (AD Williams) was a late scratching at kennelling when vommiting and running a temperature. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 259. 5 days up to and including 25 December 2004.
