She then had to check off the heels of BUDLIEGH BABE on the bend and then jostled with BANJO COUNTRY on the home turn but recovered well to finish a close up second. BANJO COUNTRY began with the field but then dipped after a few strides and settled well back. UTIKU LUCKY was checked on the first corner and dropped out to finish in last place. J.Joslin the Trainer of UTIKU SMILES was fined $ 30-00 under Rule 135 (1) after she had placed No 3 on her dog instead of No 2. No 3 was a scratching. The mistake was discovered when the field assembled to parade to the start. The Club was also fined $ 30-00 as the kennel staff have a responsibility under Rule 164 (5) to ensure the correct numbers are issued. DUSTY NERO received a cut foot during the race and was stood down for 5 days. PROSPERINE ran in on the first corner and caused tightening and resultant checks to favoured runners WINSOME BONNIE and FLAMING PRINCE. DUSTY NERO was also affected in the incident and all three lost ground in the incident.
