Judicial report: Weather: Overcast PLEASE NOTE: Information provided under the heading 'Judicial' does not necessarily imply that all matters were handled as a formal 'Judicial Proceeding' unless specifically stated.
Joint - trainer L Craik was reminded that the Registration Certificate / Race Record card for greyhound 'Raise Your Glass' which was stood down for injury at the AGRC meeting on 19.11.04. are required for a Rule 329 endorsement.
Race 1. Following consultation with the trainer (R.J.M.Smith) of Smooth Harry and at his request, this greyhound is to be removed from 'Hard to Box' categorisation at it's next race start.
Race 3. The trainer (N.P.Green) of 'Someone' which won this race was questioned regarding the noticeable form reversal compared to the greyhound's previous six race starts, the most recent having being at this track on 26.11.04. Mr Green explained that 'Someone' needs to lead in races in order for it to perform at it's best, and prior to the previous race start on 26.11.04 had not raced for 22 days. In Mr Green's opinion, the 26.11.04 race had improved the greyhounds fitness level and today's winning performance was confirmation of that. His explanation was accepted and noted.
Race 7. The trainer (T.A.Green) of 'Raheny Reason' advised that the racebook is showing incorrect trainer details (K.Walsh) and the NZGRA had been advised. The Stipendiary Steward has now contacted the NZGRA regarding the matter.
Trainer G.Calverely, advised the Stipendiary Steward of a similar situation in relation to the greyhound 'Dissipate' previously trained by him but now being trained by L. J.Gill.This information has also been conveyed to the NZGRA.
An opened and adjourned Inquiry from the Waikato and Districts GRC race meeting held on 17.11.04 was reconvened before the Judicial Committee, Mr A.Booth and a charge under Rule 135.1 laid against trainer K.Walsh. The charge is the result of a complaint and report received on 17.11.04 and subsequent investigation by the Stipendiary Steward under Rule 123.8. The hearing has been set down for Thursday 16 December 2004 at Cambridge Raceway.
