Race 1 MAXILAB SPRINT - C0 - 305 AUK wasa galloped on by MILLUNA GIRL on the bend and went from a handy position back to the rear. She was examined by the vet and and cleared of any injuries.
Race 2 LIVING LAWN DASH - C1 - 305 GREY HAVOC was scratched due to injury. JUBILANT MISS was first reserve but was scratched when the Secretary was unable to make contact with the Trainer, G.Darby despite several calls and leaving messages. Mr Darby was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 135 (1) for failing to check his phone messages or to check the scratchings to see whether his dog had made the field. The second reserve PAWS A MOMENT was also scratched when the Secretary was unable to make contact with the Trainer S.Gardner until after 8.00 am by which time he had scratched the dog . No charges were preferred against S.Gardner as she contacted the Club immediately upon receiving the phone message. SWIFT BRUTUS was checked back to last in the race towards the first corner. He was examined by the vet as he appeared to be sore after the race but no injuuries were detected. GREY HAVOC Trainer R.Mcbride Rule 259 Suffering from soreness in the lumber region and stood down for 10 days to and including 24.11.04 JUBILANT MISS Trainer G.Darby Rule 257 (1) No stand down but Trainer Fined $ 100-00.Refer to Judicial notes. PAWS A MOMENT Trainer S.Gardner Rule 257 (1) No stand down.
Race 3 ELITE CATERING '305' - C0 - 305 HOMEBUSH CHRIS galloped on the back of TOUCHERS GIFT in the back straight and caused that runner to fall. TOUCHERS GIFT was examined by the vet and found to have bruising to the left foreleg and was stood down for 7 days. TOUCHERS GIFT Trainer B&E Gough Rule 329 Suffered bruising to a foreleg and stood down for 7 days to and including 22.11.04.
Race 4 HALL ELECTRICAL '520' - C0 - 520 BET SHE CAN was tightened against the rail on the first corner when SCOTTALOT moved in. Soon after SCOTTALOT made contact with the rail and lost momentum for a few strides.
Race 5 ASR SPRAYPAINTING SPRINT - C1 - 305 KURI WERA was scratched due to an injured toe. MARIA HANOVER, WAIMARIE and IMAGE OF ISHBELL jostled together for several strides in the back straight and they lost ground as a result. KURI WERA Trainer S.Gardner Rule 259 Suffering from a toe injury and stood down for 30 days to and including 14.12.04.
Race 6 WANGANUI SECURITY SERVICES - C0 - 305 FOUR MEMORIES was very slow away and then ran wide on the bend and finished well back in second last place. The winner QUEEN OF FLIGHT eased momentarily on the bend and lost a length but was quickly back into stride and went on to win. A close watch will be kept on the dog in future starts.
Race 7 DOUBLE 'S' MOTORDROME SPRINT - C0 - 305 NINIA'S LASS was slow to begin and then was checked on the first corner when SABRE STRIKE was checked ahead of it and dropped back quickly.
Race 8 METEOR PRINTERS '305' - C1 - 305 GONE TROPPO ran in and CHIPPEWA BRAVE ran out at the start and this resulted in CECILIA BRYAN and ALI PHOENIX being checked between those runners and they all settled well back.
Race 9 EXCEED STAKES - C1 - 520 All clear.
Race 10 SPICER'S PAPER DASH - C1 - 305 BADAZZLED JEWEL was slow away but then rushed up between runners and caused severe checks to ENDLESS STORY, WEE AMY LEIGH and FUNNY FEELING with ENDLESS STORY being the most affected and she almost fell and tailed the field home.
Race 11 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS SPRINT - C1 - 305 GROGAN LEE was scratched due to injury. KOTUKU ARANUI was tightened and checked between DISSIPATE and EMOYENI on the first corner and never recovered. GROGAN LEE Trainer M.McCook Rule 259 Suffering from muscle soreness and stood down for 30 days to and including 12.12.04.
Race 12 HEADS ROAD VETERINARY '520' - C1 - 520 RICH AND BLUE was scratched due to injury. The favourite KIWI ASSASSIN was slow away and was last around the first bend. He made up ground from there but could only finish in fourth place. RICH AND BLUE Trainer Walsh/Charters Rule 259 Suffering from a sprained tarsus and stood down for 10 days to and including 24.11.04.
Race 13 WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES DASH - C1 - 305 All clear.
Race 14 RUSH HIRE '305' - C2 - 305 MATERIAL GIRL was scratched Ex Wanganui on 12.11.04. PRINCE ZIDANE and OUR LARRY were tightened and checked to the rear in the race to the first corner. MATERIAL GIRL Ex Wanganui on 12.11.04.
Race 15 ANDERSON'S FOR MEN STAKES - C2/3 - 520 TERRIFIC TEDDY and UPAHUT LOONY collided on the first corner and settled at the rear. They stayed there and filled the last two places.
Race 16 VITAPOWER SPRINT - C3 - 305 BOY RACER and ARANUI JAZZ were checked against the rail in the race to the first corner when outside runners moved down to the rail.
