MANAWAU NUI moved out and SON OF SARABI moved in soon after the start and this resulted in WINSOME ESCAPE, PAWS A MOMENT and SAUCY ANNA being tightened and checked. EMILIE ONE led into the first corner but ran wide and lost ground. She recovered to run on for third placing. Race 2	OUTBACK TRADING - C1 - 505	BRAVE GYPSY and RAIN OF SPADES were both scratched Ex Manawatu on 05.11.04. REDWOOD NEV was slow to begin and lost several lengths. The favourite GOZO LINA was pushed wide on the first corner and was forced to race wide thereafter, finishing in 4th place. . BRAVE GYPSY and RAIN OF SPADES were scratched Ex Manawatu on 05.11.04.
Race 3	HOLIDAY SHOPPE PALM NTH - C3 - 505	LIKA CRUISE moved in on the first corner checked DUSTY NERO and HOT DISCOVERY who lost several lengths. UNIQUE SPECIES broke down on the first corner and took no further part in the race. She was sent to the vet for examination and.stood down for 30 days with a fractured hock. UNIQUE SPECIES Trainer B.Cole Rule 329 Suffered a fractured hock and stood down for 30 days to and including 06.12.04.
Race 4	KEITH PLIERS JEWELLERS - C2 - 297	UPAHUT AXION was scratched due to injury. TURBO JEWEL was scratched due to a muscle injury. The scratching was reported late as the Secretary cleared her answerphone well after the official scratching time. The Secretary was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 135 (1) in relation to this matter. Race was all clear. UPAHUT AXION Trainer D.Meates Rule 259 Suffering from a leg injury and stood down for 30 days to and including 03.12.04 TURBO JEWEL Trainer M.McCook Rule 259 Has a monkey muscle injury and stood down for 30 days to and including 05.12.04.
