Track: Good Firm
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Please Note: The information stated under the heading 'Judicial' does not necessarily imply that all matters were handled as a formal Judicial Proceeding unless specifically stated.
Race 2. B.J.Jordan the trainer of Gone Troppo was reminded of the requirement to notify scratchings to clubs as soon as possible and in particular where the greyhound has been stood down at a previous race meeting, notification should be made immediately following that meeting.
Race 3. Nikkei (B&L Craik) was observed not to pursue the lure with due commitment nearing the home turn. A post race veterinary examination detected no injury. Consequently this greyhound (trainers) was charged with a breach of Rule 322 (1)(b).
The Inquiry was opened and adjourned until 09.11.04 at the request of joint trainer L.Craik due to the absence overseas of her training partner, B.Craik.
At the Stipendiary Steward's discretion, the greyhound in question was also ordered to complete a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 179.1.
Race 6. Trainer, L. Nixon (Lumos Obliviate) was questioned regarding her apparent confusion relating to the Stir Up procedure prior to this race. The explanation was accepted and the matter will be discussed further with the appropriate Raceday Officials at the next meeting on 09.11.04.
Race 7. Trainer, L.Nixon (Certainly) advised that the wrong Registration Certificate and race record card had been brought to the race meeting. Under Rule 280.2 the greyhound was permitted to start and the Judicial Committee chose not to enforce Rule 280.3 on this occasion.
Race 8. Trainer, G. Calvereley's explanation for kennelling 4 minutes late was accepted.
Race 10. Trainer G.A.Cleeve (Orphan Assassin) had requested a 'Box First' categorization for tonight's race which was declined due to an assessment not having been conducted.
Following the race the Starter reported that both he and the Judicial Steward considered the greyhound to be very difficult to box which concurred with the Stipendiary Steward's observations. The categorization was subsequently granted.
One of the new ' THE DOGS RACING NOW' advertising banners located at the entrance to Manakau Stadium was taken during or after last night's meeting. Would anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in relation to the banner please contact Theresa at the AGRC or the Stipendiary Steward.
