Race 1 | WELCOME DASH - C0 - 390 | A false start was declared when the lure was unable to get traction on the rail in the run up to the start of the event. The lids activated with the dogs catching the lure by the first corner. The event was rerun at 12.17pm, with TRINITY STORM being a late scratching in accordance with Rule 305.3. MOVE ON MISTRESS and I'M LAUGHING NOW drifted to the rear after the jump with ROLLEN drifting out in the straight to finish at the rear with the other two dogs. TRINITY STORM (T Freeman) late scratching at start in accordance with Rule 305.3. No penalty. |
Race 2 | $20 MUZZLE STAKES - C1 - 390 | The favourite HOMEBUSH SPOT was slow to jump settling last before improving wide around the bend and into the home straight. The effort told with HOMEBUSH SPOT finishing seventh. EL ASSASSIN ran inwards after the jump colliding with CALL THE TUNE and FATAL OBSESSION, these three finishing towards the rear. |
Race 3 | SGRC SUPPLIES - C0 - 457 | FLYIN BRIAN drifted to the rear after the jump. Into the first bend FLYIN BRIAN and COMPACT CONNIE tangled when OZARK'S ANGEL ran wide. The dogs never recovered finishing at the rear. WHATA PLAN (BA Johnston) was a late scratching at kennelling when found to have left fore humerus pain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 259. 7 days up to and including 4 November 2004. |
Race 4 | AWESOME HAVOC AT STUD - C1/2 - 457 | MEGA BYTES stumbled on jumping from the boxes settling last. He ran on for fifth. Into the first bend HOMEBUSH ELLE and MEGA BYTES came together, HOMEBUSH ELLE drifting out to finish last. Soon after LAST ORDERS struck the hindquarters of ASTRO ZAP both dogs losing ground. In the home straight LAST ORDERS was observed to not pursue the lure. Trainer M Hill was charged with a breach of Rule 322(1)(b). He elected to plead guilty with LAST ORDERS stood down for one month up to and including 28 November 2004 and to undertake a satisfactory trial in accordance with Rule 179. Race 5 | DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER - C1 - 390 | HOMEBUSH LUMP stumbled on jumping settling a clear last before running on strongly for third. Into the first bend HOMEBUSH BLAZE and VENETIA SHINES collided, HOMEBUSH BLAZE striking the rail. They lost all chance filling the last two places. HOMEBUSH BLAZE was checked by the club veterinarian who detected no injuries. ULTIMATE MOVER ran wide around the bend and into the home straight finishing amongst the tailenders. |
Race 6 | OCTOBER MAIDEN SPRINT FINAL - C0 - 390 | IDOLISE ME ran outwards into the first bend taking HOMEBUSH TURBO wide. They lost all chance finshing near the rear. |
Race 7 | WWW.DOGTIPS.NET.NZ - C1 - 457 | PICNIC DAY and HOMEBUSH PHIL were slow to jump. HOMEBUSH PHIL improved through the field into the first bend before being struck by BOMBER BELLE, falling as a result. HOMEBUSH PHIL regained his feet finishing a long distance behind the field. A veterinary check detected a dislocated right rear toe with a stand down of 10 days recommended. CYBIL DEFENCE and SAMMY HAVOC lost momentum as a result of the fall. TRINITY STAR ran very wide around the bend finishing near the rear with BOMBER BELLE. HOMEBUSH PHIL (JT McInerney) Rule 329. 10 days up to and including 7 November 2004. |
Race 8 | SGRC IMPROVERS FINAL - C1 - 457 | ANXIOUS MOMENTS settled at the rear finishing sixth. FOLLOW THE TREND and AWESOME KEV came together into the first bend FOLLOW THE TREND settled midfield , running wide around the bend before finishing strongly in the straight for a close up third. LOCK JAW was examined following the event by the club veterinarian who found a right fore dislocated toe with a stand down of 10 days recommended. SEASPRAY ROCK (T Freeman) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with sore left groin muscles. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 259. 7 days up to and including 4 November 2004. JUDYANNE BALE (AC Roberts) No certificate received. LOCK JAW (MM Grant) Rule 329. 10 days up to and including 7 November 2004. |
Race 9 | WOODEND SPRINT - C2 - 390 | LAZY HARRY was slow to jump improving through the field to finish on for third. GREEN MILE who settled well back ran on for fifth. |
