Charmed Mahogany (Race 11) was a late scratching due to a 1.8kg weight variance with trainer, N.P.Green being automatically fined $100 under Rule 269.3.
Trainer D. Schofield, was reminded by the Stipendiary Steward of the requirement to comply with Rule 135.10.
It was noted by the Stipendiary Steward and Starter (D.Henwood) that Kiwi Fire (Race 11)
was hard to box and consequently the greyhound will be closely observed again at it's next race start in light of a recent request from trainer (C.J.Derecourt) for a 'Box First' status.

Race 1 BELLBIRD ARMS MAIDEN SPRINT- HEAT 1 - C0q - 318 Heat 1 Baltasar missed the start by 4 lengths, made ground along rail then ran out slightly on first turn which checked Kath and Running Tiger. Time Over Boots came across sharply after 15mtrs severely checking Queen Rowley which recovered well to finish 2nd. Sonny Boy Jones clipped the heels of Time Over Boots and checked of the heels of Nikkei on the first turn, then ran wide and drifted to rear to finish last. Kath and Running Tiger jostled after 15mtrs.
Race 2 BELLBIRD ARMS MAIDEN SPRINT - HEAT 2 - C0q - 318 Heat 1 Forever Running, Phil As and Racelink were slow to begin. Bedas Boy came across to the rail on the first turn and checked Shezmy Scallywag which came back onto Forever Running which was checked and ran outwards severely checking Phil As and Racelink with all three losing their chance. Shezmy Scallywag ran on well for 5th.
Race 3 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C0 - 527 Tiki Tour and Bet She Can jostled after 20 mtrs. Pizza Bad Boy was 3rd in the back straight then drifted slightly and held ground for 5th.
Race 4 BELLBIRD ARMS MAIDEN SPRINT - HEAT 3 - C0q - 318 Heat 1 The start time of this race was delayed by 6 minutes due to the lure carriage having to be replaced because of a broken wire. Tandias Girl was scratched due to injury. Destiny's Run drifted after the start then raced up quickly on the rail and fought on well for 3rd. Westar Gold was tightened and checked between Legal Edition and Kimster entering the first turn with Kimster, Miss Chiff and Pitter Patter also receiving checks in the incident and Legal Edition was slightly hampered. Tandias Girl (G.Calverley). Lame and P2 sesamoid sore. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 5 days up to and including 30.10.04.
Race 5 CATERING PROFESSIONALS DASH - C1 - 318 Dr Dal Santo missed the start by 6 lengths and made up ground to finish 7th. Mo Mistress and Dr Dal Santo collided momentarily on the first bend.
Race 6 STREETS ICE CREAM STAKES - HEAT 1 - C1q - 527 Heat 1 Osti's Crown and Black Tibet jostled entering the first turn with Osti's Crown then moving outwards hampering Lumos Obliviate and losing ground as a result. Solo Cruise checked off the heels of Rollover Angel in the back straight and never recovered finishing last.
Race 7 TINT-A-CAR DASH - C1 - 318 Mr Big Head was a late scratching due to injury. Grasscutter Bob was slow to begin, back early, then raced up quickly near the rail and fought on well for 3rd. Economy Patch was slow to begin, railed well and then ran out wide on the bend forcing Our Polar over extra ground. Our Polar was tightened by Don Paulie crossing over to the rail on the first turn causing Our Polar to run outwards quickly, severely checking the favourite Hello Darling, which never recovered finishing 6th. Economy Patch and Hello Darling came together on the home turn. Mr Big Head (R.A.McPhee). Late scratching. Abdominal muscle pain. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 04.11.04.
Race 8 JIMBO'S PETFOOD DASH - C1/2 - 318 Storm Edition missed the start, was then hampered by the drifting Prairie Fire and ran on well for 5th. Tiger Time and No Invitation came together for several strides on the home turn. Prairie Fire was handy early, then slightly hampered by Poetical and drifted out steadily to finish last.
Race 9 STREETS ICE CREAM STAKES - HEAT 2 - C1q - 527 Heat 1 Full Force Gale, Number One Gun and Kaiser Izmir came together on the first turn. Miss Speedy Web was well back early and then ran on strongly in the straight for 4th. Full Force Gale slipped on the home turn which inconvenienced Never Home slightly.
Race 10 ROYAL WOLF CONTAINERS DASH - C1/2 - 318 Ina Tizzy was scratched due to injury. Lady Dolly ran inwards at the start bumping Big Teddy Boy. Robust Rock and Big Teddy Boy jostled for position after 20mtrs. Robust Rock moved outwards on the first turn inconveniencing Sand Dancer. Farmer John ran off the rail on the bend checking Lady Dolly. Smokin' Time checked off the heels of Jeepers on the bend but lost no ground to finish 2nd. Ina Tizzy (G.C.Farrell). Lateral triceps tear. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 14 days up to and including 06.11.04.
Race 11 RADIO PACIFIC DASH - C3 - 318 Charmed Mahogany was a late scratching due to unacceptable weight variance. Kiwi Fire was difficult to box. Kiwi Fire and Marissa Bale were slow to begin with Kiwi Fire then racing up quickly on the rail and was never in doubt after winning well. Sue Van Gill, My Journey and Dudley Dersley jostled for position after the start and again on the first turn which also included Marissa Bale. Miss Tracey Lee began quickly to lead, then was tightened for racing room between Kiwi Fire and Stock Broker on the first turn and came back onto Dudley Dersley which drifted back to the rear and rallied to finish 5th. Marissa Bale moved outwards across the heels of Miss Tracey Lee on the bend. Dudley Dersley, My Journey and Marissa Bale came together momentarily on the home turn. Charmed Mahogany (N.P.Green). Late scratching. Due 1.8kg weight variance. Rule 269.3. Automatic fine imposed. Dudley Dersley. (G.C.Farrell). Split web and dislocated toe. Rule 329. 10 days up to and including 04.11.04.
Race 12 NORTHERN DIGITAL PHOTOFINISH STAKES - C2 - 527 Melissa Bale was denied racing room by Raise Your Glass on the first turn and bend with contact resulting as Melissa Bale endeavoured to push through on the rail. A veterinary examination was ordered for Melissa Bale which resulted in several conditions being detected. A 10 day stand down from racing was given and a Satisfactory Trial prior to racing again ordered. Rivette Reason was carted wide by Token Sniper on the first bend. Melissa Bale (G.N.Pomeroy). Post race hypermetric, cramping, exhaustion and tachycardia. Rule 329. 10 days up to and including 04.11.04. Melissa Bale (G.N.Pomeroy). Rule 179.1. Satisfactory Trial required.
Race 13 EGH INTERNET GREYHOUNDS DASH - C4/5 - 318 Gold Amore was scratched due to injury. Waitak Attack was a late scratching due to injury. Brooklyn Ash ran outwards from a rail position on the first turn, hampering Rumpole and severely checking Tessa's Delight and Let Me. High Pockets went to an early lead, drifted quickly back through the field, then clipped the heels of Tessa's Delight on the bend and almost fell, finishing a distant last. A Veterinary examination was ordered which revealed injuries requiring a 14 day stand down from racing. Waitak Attack (H.S.Laagland). Late scratching. Sore hind toe. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 3 days up to and including 28.10.04. Gold Amore (B&L Craik). Torn gracillus muscle. Vet certificate not supplied. Rule 259.3. 30 days up to and including 23.11.04. High Pockets (K.E.Lomas). Sore back muscle and probable right hock strain. Rule 329. 14 days up to and including 08.11.04.
Race 14 SUDSARELLA LAUNDRY STAKES - C3/4 - 527 Poco King was slow to begin, then ran wide across the heels of Flash Shooter on the first turn and was always at the rear after. Heza Scallywag suffered an injury 15 mtrs after the start and took no further part in the race. A Veterinary examination was ordered and revealed a hamstring injury requiring a 14 day stand down from racing. Heza Scallywag (C.A.Symes). Left hamstring injury.
