Race 1	METEOR PRINTERS STAKES - C1 - 520	GONE TROPPO and CALL ME CUTE collided on the first corner and dropped back to the rear and they stayed well back throughout.
Race 2	WANGANUI SECURITY SPRINT - C2/3 - 305	HURRICANE FOG, PAGING and HOT DISCOVERY were tightened at the start and settled towards the rear. PAGING galloped onto the heels of TAKE PRIDE on the first corner and TAKE PRIDE fell. HOT DISCOVERY was badly hindered in the incident and finished well back with PAGING. TAKE PRIDE was examined by the vet and cleared of injury.
Race 3	ANDERSON'S FOR MEN '520' - C1 - 520	BRAVE GYPSY galloped onto the back of MISS CHANTELLE on the first corner and both went down and lost several lengths. They ran home several lengths behind the other runners and were classed as having fallen. They were uninjured.
Race 4	RUSH HIRE SPRINT FINAL - C1f - 305	The favourite TARRAH checked off the heels of FLIRTATION soon after the start and lost three lengths. She made up ground well for second place. THRILLING SERENA moved in on the first corner and checked SECRET PRINCE who dropped out to last and failed to make up the lost ground and finished in last place.
Race 5	DOUBLE 'S' MOTORDROME STAKES - C2 - 520	DISCIPLINARIAN who was the favourite was checked at the start and settled in last place. He failed to recover and finished last and was examined by the vet and cleared of any injury. WINSOME SHINE who was also well supported was checked against the rail on the first corner and dropped back to near the rear and stayed there.
Race 6	D A MORRISON'S '305' - C2/3 - 305	One of the favourites BANKSIDE BELLA was slow to begin and then had to check off the heels of CECILIA TONY twice on the bend and finished at the rear. HOMEBUSH ZARA was found to be suffering from wrist pain after the event and was stood down for 7 days. HOMEBUSH ZARA Trainer J.McInerney Jnr Rule 259 Suffered a wrist injury and stood down for 7 days up to and including 19.10.04.
Race 7	HEADS ROAD VETERINARY '520' - C4/5 - 520	There was jostling soon after the start between THRILLING SAM, LADY LEAH, SILK RIPPLE and WINSOME VEIN and they settled back. The favourite THRILLING SAM was forced to race wide from there and finished fourth in a photo. YALLAH EBONY moved in on the first corner and tightened FANTASY SHIFTER who dropped back and was galloped on by EDGAR JAY who fell but was uninjured. FANTASY SHIFTER lost all chance and tailed the field home in seventh place.
Race 8	EXCEED STAKES - C2/3 - 520	The favourite CHOPPERS HAND was slow away and was last into the first corner. He then had trouble clearing runners ahead on the first bend but once clear, he powered home to win. The next best supported runner DEVIOUS JOSH also encountered trouble on the first bend and dropped back to the rear and stayed there. RUSTY COCONUT suffered a tail injury, possibly at the pullup area and was stood down for 14 days. RUSTY COCONUT Trainer A.Cobain Rule 329 Suffered a tail injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 26.10.04.
Race 9	BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS DASH - C4 - 305	All clear.
Race 10	ELITE CATERING '305' - C2 - 305	PIXAR STAR jumped in at the start and checked MATERIAL GIRL who settled last. The favourite LADY PRITI was tightened and checked on the first corner and went back onto PIXAR STAR and they lost several lengths and all chance of a placing.
