Judicial report: Weather: Fine A Satisfactory Trial was conducted prior to the first race for Queen Rowley (H.R.Bond) under Rule 179.1. The performance was deemed not to be satisfactory.
Race 7. J Lowen, the trainer, was replaced as the handler and catcher of Shaka Malawi under Rule 294.1(a) and was also reminded and warned about her responsibilities when handling any greyhound at a race meeting.
Race 7. Lady Barbie which was 1.6kg over it's previous race start weight was granted a reweigh under Rule 269.1.
Race 8. The trainer of Knockabout Fred was shown incorrectly in the racebook. The correct trainer is S.C. Mann.

| Race 3 | LION FOUNDATION STAKES - C2/3 - 457 | Top Allegro was denied racing room and was severely checked between Campese Bale and Astro Nerone on the first turn. Wolf Girl Jess was tightened between Muslie Man and Campese Bale on the first bend and was checked back to the rear as a result. |
| Race 4 | PUB CHARITY SPRINT - C1 - 375 | Christopher Bale was slow out then made up ground well to finish 5th. Top Drawer clipped the heels of Velvot Revolver nearing the first turn which caused Economy Style to be checked. Economy Style ran out on the bend forcing Top Drawer wide. |
| Race 5 | RAGLAN STAKES - C1 - 457 | Hugo Flyer was slow out and never recovered finishing last. |
| Race 6 | TAMAHERE STAKES - C2 - 457 | Monsieur Jon was scratched due to injury. Four Square the favourite missed the start by 3 lengths and was always at the rear thereafter. Tartare Sauce bumped Dusty Nero at the start. He's Hypo drifted on the bend to finish 7th. Monsieur Jon (M.Earley). Torn muscle in neck. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 14.10.04. |
| Race 7 | IMPROVERS DASH - C1 - 375 | Shaka Malawi jumped awkwardly and made up ground well for 4th. Telescopic Lass ran wide on the final turn and lost ground. Golden Lobo was wide throughout. |
