Judicial report: Weather: Overcast and cold evening. The hearing adjourned on Friday 6 August 2004 against Trainer JR Goode for a breach of Rule 135.10 was reconvened. After hearing evidence from the starter Mr R Lowry, the charge was found proved and a fine of $50.00 imposed by the Judicial Steward.

Race 1 PEDIGREE ADVANCE STAKES - C1/2 - 520 Into the first bend LYNNY LOU and JEMALONG BRUISER were tightened by dogs on their outer, settling at the rear. JEMALONG BRUISER ran on for fourth, with LYNNY LOU never improving.
Race 2 CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C5 - 295 HOMEBUSH GEORGE eased to last soon after the jump, never improving during the running. Into the first bend SPOTTED HAND, AWESOME PAUL, HOMEBUSH LEO and SHIRAZ VINE were checked when racing in tightened quarters, losing all chance finishing near the rear of the field.
Race 3 COALGATE TAVERN SPRINT - C1/2 - 295 CONSENT was slow to jump settling at the rear. Soon after the jump RINALDI ASTON was tightened between dogs, drifting out. Into the first bend SAMMY GOSSIP who was trailing the leader KIWI NIKO, ran outwards taking WEE SWEETIE, the favourite SPARKLING LIGHTS and DR MURDOCH wide on the track, allowing CONSENT a dream passage along the rail to get up and win the event from KIWI NIKO. SAMMY GOSSIP ran on for third, with the other dogs finishing at the rear.
Race 4 HORORATA HOTEL STAKES - C4 - 520 HOMEBUSH BILL drifted to last soon after the jump, never improving in the running.
Race 5 ANGLERS ARMS STAKES - C3 - 520 EBONY TOKEN and MAID OF QUEEN eased to the rear soon after the jump, running on to finish mid field. QUIET SPIRIT was tightened into the first bend, losing momentum drifting out to finish last.
Race 6 FARRINGTONS TAVERN SPRINT - C4 - 295 LA ROKO, HONEST BIRD and HOMEBUSH MICK were slow to jump, settling well back never improving during the running, finishing near the rear.
Race 7 PUB CHARITY - C5 - 520 The short priced favourite SLENDER MAREE was slow to jump from the outside box and was forced wide when endeavoring to improve around the first bend, settling near the rear never improving thereafter. FAITHFUL BLUE (R Adcock) left fore bruised toe. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 23 September 2004.
Race 8 WOODEND HOTEL SPRINT - C3 - 295 DR KINGSLEY eased when tightened soon after the jump, settling near the rear. Into the first bend IRINKA CHOCO was tightened by an improving MRS PEEL before coming in contact with ALLEGRO EXPRESS, these dogs jostling for a number of strides. All four never recovered, finishing at the rear of the field. WAG jumped to a clear lead from the boxes, before the favourite ROTKARA BOMBER drover under her around the bend, finishing on to win well from WAG.
Race 9 BILLS BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C1/2 - 520 TO LIVE BY was slow to jump from the outside box, settling last. Into the first corner DISCLOSE was checked when tightened between dogs, drifting to the rear. Soon after LADYLIKE TOKEN and an improving TO LIVE BY came together for a number of strides, these dogs two and DISCLOSE never improving during the running.
Race 10 TEMPS BAR SPRINT - C1/2 - 295 The favourite MELTING POT missed the jump by three lengths, settling last never improving during the running. Into the first bend LAZY HARRY, HOMEBUSH SHADOW and HOMEBUSH LUMP were checked as a result of general tightening, losing all chance and finishing towards the rear.
