Weather:
Track: Good Firm
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Weather: Fine Race 2. The trainer of Booming Time (D.Schofield) was warned to improve the racing manners of this greyhound. Mr Schofield advised that he was disappointed with today's performance by the greyhound.
Race 2. The handler of Pizza Bad Boy (R.A.McPhee) was reminded of the pre race parade requirements in terms of the correct positioning of his greyhound so as to be nearest the TAB Trackside cameras situated in the grandstand.
Race 2. A Judicial inquiry was opened in relation to the performance of Winged Delight ( S.Blackburn) which had run out on the home turn and in the Stipendiary Steward's opinion had committed an offence under Rule 322.1a. The greyhound was ordered to undergo a Veterinary examination at the conclusion of the race, which was carried out sometime later after the greyhound had cooled down. The trainer was shown the video replay of the race several times and accepted that the greyhound had offended. The veterinary examinations did not reveal any injury and the greyhound was found to have breached Rule 322.1a and therefore a suspension was imposed under Rule 322.2a for the mandatory period of one month.
Race 7. The trainer of Just The Don ( J.B.Hastie) which was the winner of the race was questioned re the inconsistent form of this greyhound. Mr Hastie advised that he is of the opinion that the greyhound needs to begin well and 'be on the lure' in order to perform favourably as he is very much a 'front runner'. He also stated that Just The Don performs better in 527mtr races compared to 318mtrs as they provide more opportunity for him to make up ground if he is slow to begin which is quite often the case. Mr Hastie's explanation was noted.
Race 9. The handler of Tessa's Delight (A.J.Dooley) was reminded of the pre race parade requirements in terms of the correct positioning of his greyhound so as to be nearest the TAB Trackside cameras situated in the grandstand.
The standard of the parades prior to and after races continue to be unsatisfactory and create an unprofessional image to the viewing public both on-course and via TAB Trackside coverage. Steps are being taken by the Stipendiary Steward, AGRC Judicial Steward and Parade Steward to ensure that all Trainers and/or Handlers are made fully aware of the expectations in relation to this very important raceday function so as to improve the overall appearance of it.
Generally, the majority of handlers do cooperate and undertake the race parades in the required format however there are a number who appear to have difficulty conforming and they are therefore reminded of Rule 135.10.
