MISS CHANTELLE was checked on the first corner, moved out sharply and caused checks to ASTRO VIEW, FRAU DAGMA and WEONA PIRATE with WEONA PIRATE dropping out to last. He then ran into the back of FRAU DAGMA on the last bend and tailed the field home. |
| Race 2 | RUSH HIRE SPRINT - C2 - 305 | ALLEGRO COMET, HOMEBUSH SNIPPET and CAWBOURNE STEWY were slow away and settled at the rear and stayed back throughout. One of the favourites LORD PLACARD was handy and improving near the home turn but then checked off the heels of GLORIA'S CHARM, lost ground and any chance of a dividend bearing placing. |
| Race 3 | EXCEED FEATURE STAKES - R/A - 520 | PAUA MISSILE and LADY LEAH were jostled racing around the first bend and lost a little ground. PROSPERINE moved off the rail on the home turn and collided with DUSTY NERO and both lost several lengths and finished well back. |

| Race 5 | ANDERSON'S FOR MEN '520' - C1/2 - 520 | ASTRO NERONE was scratched due to a leg injury. TRUANT and CAN CANDY CAPP were tightened on the first corner and went back to the rear and stayed well back throughout. PIC A PAC faltered in the back straight and dropped out to finish a long last. The vets examination revealed that the dog was suffering from pain in a shoulder and calf and a 10 day stand down was ordered. ASTRO NERONE Trainer L.Fornasiere Rule 259 Has a swollen hind leg and was presented and stood down for 5 days to and including 05.09.04. PIC A PAC Trainer P.Taylor. Rule 329 Suffered a shoulder and calf injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 11.09.04. |
| Race 6 | HEADS ROAD VETERINARY STAKES - C4/5 - 520 | PELICAN CREEK began very awkwardly, stumbled and lost several lengths and tailed the field throughout to finish last. RUSTY COCONUT moved out on the first corner forcing SUNSET JEST, WINSOME VEIN, TOKEN CHARM and SWIFT APPEAL off line and causing SWIFT APPEAL to fall. SWIFT APPEAL suffered mild concussion and was stood down for 7 days. SWIFT APPEAL. Trainer D.Schofield Rule 329. Suffered concussion in a fall and stood down for 7 days to and including 08.09.04. |

| Race 11 | FAREWELL STAKES - C1 - 520 | TORAH BALE was a late scratching due to injury. This advise was received by the Club at 1-30 pm but was not notified to the T.A.B. at that time. The scratching was included on the weight sheet presented to the T.A.B staff after kennelling had concluded at 6.30 pm but was not picked up. The Stipendiary Steward noticed that the dog was being displayed as still being in the field shortly before start time and advised the T.A.B. of the scratching. The Club Manager was advised that he should notify the T.A.B of any scratching received prior to two hours before the first race and the Stipendiary Steward will notify any scratchings received after that time. HOMEBUSH DIVA was a Club scratching due to inadvertantly being placed in two races. The dog started in race 3. TARTAN FLYER and FRANNY HALL collided on the first bend and FRANNY HALL lost a couple of lengths. TORAH BALE Trainer S.Gommans Rule 259 A late scratching due to a leg injury and stood down for 30 days to and including 01.10.04. HOMEBUSH DIVA Trainer P.Knight Club scatching. |
