Judicial report: Weather: Fine. Following the scratching of FOLLOW ME FROSTY (D Schofield) in Race 9, the circumstances surrounding the illness of the greyhound and subsequent non arrival in New Zealand were fully discussed with James Mason, the officiating veterinary surgeon who advised that he had had a telephone conversation with Jet Pets veterinary surgeon in Australia on behalf of the trainer. Mason stated that given the information received in relation to the greyhound's illness and treatment, that he was prepared and willing to issue a certificate for scratching purposes and have it verified by Jet Pets veterinary surgeon in Australia. This was accepted as a formal means of scratching notification and in support of the verbal notification to the Waikato GRC Secretary on 18 August 2004.
The original intention for this greyhound was to compete in the Internation Challenge race at the Waikato GRC on 26 August 2004.
D Schofield also produced the greyhound export certificate No 012224 for FOLLOW ME FROSTY to confirm the greyhounds eligibility to come to New Zealand.

GO TYLER GO (D Schofield) Rule 259 has deep soreness to deep gluteal muscles, left hand side rear leg and stood down for 10 days up to and including 28 August 2004. |
| Race 9 | JONELLE ALLEN AT STUD STAKES - C5 - 457 | FOLLOW ME FROSTY was scratched due to haemorhagic diarrhoea and subsequent treatment causing a delay in this dog's arrival from Australia. BIBIANA BALE began well before drifting, holding ground well to finish fourth. ORANA CITY ran wide on the bend checking and forcing CAMPBELL BALE very wide. FOLLOW ME FROSTY (D Schofield) Rule 259 has haemorhagic diarrhoea whilst awaiting air transportation to New Zealand from Australia. The condition has been treated by the veterinary surgeon for Jet Pets with swabable medication. This greyhound has been stood down for 10 days up to and including 27 August 2004. |
