Judicial report: Weather: Showery Trainer SC Mann advised that race book ownership and trainer details for RICH FIRE in Race 1 were incorrect, which is confirmed by this greyhounds registration certificate, which shows the owners as MP Mann and G Portland with Mann also being the current Trainer. This change is dated 20 April 2004. Mann was advised that this error would be conveyed to the appropriate person for correction.

Race 1 WELCOME STAKES - C1 - 457 FAITHFUL MITTENS was scratched due to rear pad abrasions. EBONY DELUXE raced wide throughout and finished on for fourth. SHAKA MALAWI was slow to begin and always near the rear of the field. RICH FIRE lost two lengths at the start and never improved, finishing seventh. THIS TIME BOOTS the favourite raced off the rail, in or near the lead, was headed and fought on to finish third. FAITHFUL MITTENS (S Blackburn) Rule 329 ex Aucland GRC meeting on 11 August 2004.
Race 2 MAIDEN SPRINT - C0 - 375 HURRICANE CULLY was slow to begin and battled on to finish sixth. AUK began slowly and never threatened, finishing last. FOSSIL the favourite slipped at the start then tightened between QUEEN ROWLEY and WATERLEA LASS, stumbled regaining momentum to run very wide on the turn and ran on again for fourth. A veterinary inspection was ordered and revealed sand burns on the hind feet. FOSSIL (NP Green) Rule 329. As a result of a post race veterinary inspection it was detected that FOSSIL had sand burns on the hind feet and was stood down for 7 days up to and including 19 August 2004.
Race 3 SEMINAR STAKES - C2 - 457 MEAN TYLER and KOLLIWOBBLE received checks during the running and never recovered to finish sixth and sight respectively.
Race 4 1ST IMPROVERS SPRINT - C1 - 375 TOP DRAWER stumbled at the start and recovered well to finish second. FAITHFUL BART was checked by TOP DRAWER on the turn and regained momentum to run third. RIKKILEE KIWI came across in front of KING OF DREAMS, causing a severe check to KING OF DREAMS which raced wide thereafter finishing fifth. BOOTS LAST hampered BOLD GYPSY at the start and continued to force that runner wide. LAZY ALEX (M Earley) Rule 259 has bruising to right forearm and stood down for 6 days up to and including 17 August 2004.
Race 5 CONFERENCE STAKES - C3 - 457 YALLAH EBONY raced up to the lead after 100m, drifted slightly and came again to finish second. PAULA MISSILE the favourite began slowly and then was checked by YALLAH EBONY and KEENJACKAROO, drifting back on it, lost 5 lengths and ran on again for fifth.
Race 6 2ND IMPROVERS SPRINT - C1/2 - 375 TARTARE SAUCE was slow and at the rear early, raced up on the rail, buffeted by JUMBO FLASH on the turn. JUMBO FLASH received a slight check from TARTARE SAUCE 30m from the finish. KURI WERA began slowly, was forced very wide into the bend and ran on for third. HELLO DARLING the favourite was tightened between LUCKY LIPINSKI and JUMBO FLASH after 60m and almost fell forcing SHES HOME SOON and KURI WERA wide. WILD WHIZ (M Earley) Rule 259 has pectoral muscle soreness and stood down for 10 days up to and including 21 August 2004.
Race 7 WWW.DOGTIPS.NET.NZ STAKES - C5 - 457 All Clear.
Race 8 ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER DASH - C2/3 - 375 DR KINGSLEY drifted, then very wide into the straight and never improved after that to finish last. MARRICK MAID began well to a clear lead then ran down the last 30m to finish second.
Race 9 JONELLE ALLEN AT STUD STAKES - C3/4 - 457 DR BERTRAM raced wide at the rear into the straight then ran on well for fifth.
