Race 1	TXT4TIPS (M9 R? 8477) - C0 - 295	There was a problem with the ear brands on BRACES MY DEAR but after consultation with the N.Z.G.R.A. the dog was allowed to start. This matter will be reported to the association under separate cover. Trainer O.Marron was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 135 (1) after arriving late to the kennels for the start of this race. The favourite BRACES MY DEAR drew box 8 and ran in causing jostling to TINKAMORE, CAMCAFF and DUSTY'S EDITION and was also affected in the incident. She settled well back and stayed there.
Race 2	EMPIRE HOTEL - PETONE - C3/4 - 525	All clear.
Race 3	BRYCE FRANCES GRAPHICS - C1 - 295	BUSTER KEATON and MARISSA BALE were tightened and buffetted for a few strides in the race to the first corner.
Race 4	FOTODOG FOTOS - WGTN - C4/5 - 295	LOVE THE HABIT, YALLAH ROSE and ENLIGHTENING were slow away and tailed the field throughout. They filled the last three places at the finish.
Race 5	ACCSYS FOR QUICKBOOKS - C1 - 295	MADAM CHOLET raced to the lead starting the bend but was galloped on by SHEEHAN and dropped back several places and never recovered. SHEEHAN also lost ground in the incident but did recover to finish 3rd. NATHAN BALE was checked on the first corner, went back to last and stayed there.
Race 6	WINSOME WALLBOARDS - C1 - 525	SCHNURRBART was a late scratching when found to be suffering from kennel cough. MOXY FAIRBROTHER and DUSTY NERO came together soon after the start and they tightened ROSINA REASON until she was checked out of her position. DISCIPLINARIAN then moved across to the rail and checked TARTAN FLYER, MOXY FAIRBROTHER and DUSTY NERO who settled well back. DISCIPLINARIAN was checked and lost a little ground when starting on the last bend. SCHNURRBART Trainer O.Marron Rule 259 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 21.08.04.
Race 7	WELLINGTON STAKES - C5 - 525	One of the favourites SPEED TWIN led in the early and middle stages but faded out in the straight to finish 5th. LADY LEAH was checked on the home turn but then recovered to finish in 3rd place.
Race 8	DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS LTD - C1/2 - 525	The favourite SCANDINAVIAN did not receive the best of runs early in the race and raced around the first bend in 2nd last place. She made up some ground to finish in 4th place.
Race 9	SPICERS PAPER DASH - C1/2 - 295	JO JO SAM was the slowest away but then secured a clear run through the field to win well.
