Race 1	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C0 - 318	JUSTA HALF PINT was scratched due to kennel cough. LADY BARBIE was tightened between BEDAS BOY and DR DEL SANTO after 50 metres and lost several lengths. BEDAS BOY dropped out quickly after 150 metres and finished several lengths last. The vets examination revealed a muscle injury and the dog was stood down for 14 days. JUSTA HALF PINT Trainer K.Braithwaite Rule 259 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 09.08.04. BEDAS BOY Trainer G.Calverley Rule 329 Suffered a monkey muscle injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 16.08.04.
Race 2	BELLBIRD ARMS STAKES - HEAT 1 - C1q - 527 Heat 1	BARON DUVAL was scratched due to kennel cough. RICH FIRE was scratched Ex Waikato on 30.07.04. WAINGARO LASS and EBONY DELUXE were checked and lost several lengths and all chance on the first corner. BARON DOVAL Trainer K.Braithwaite Rule 259 Has a torn tricep and stood down for 14 days to and including 13.08.04. RICH FIRE Trainer S.Mann Ex Waikato on 30.08.04.
Race 3	STREETS ICE CREAM DASH - C1 - 318	SMOKIN TIME was a club scratching when found to be ineligible due to a miscalculation of earnings. LADY DOLLY was checked on the bend and dropped back onto OPENING TIME and they both lost ground. BOOT'S LAST and DR ADONIS came together and jostled for several strides in the back straight. Race 4	TINT-A-CAR DASH - C2 - 318	JUST CURLY ran onto the heels of FARMER BENSON on the first corner and dropped back a couple of lengths. He recovered to finish in 4th place. MARRICK MAID moved in and KIWI FIRE moved out in the early part of the race and AWESOME TYLER and PETITE JEWEL were jostled for a few strides and lost momentum.
Race 5	BELLBIRD ARMS STAKES - HEAT 2 - C1q - 527 Heat 1	OVERLOAD ran out on the first corner and collided with SHES HOME SOON OVERLOAD then dropped out to finish at the rear. PHILIP BAY raced onto the heels of another runner in the back straight and lost ground.
Race 6	ROYAL WOLF CONTAINERS DASH - C2/3 - 318	DR KINGSLEY was tightened in the back straight and dropped back causing checks to MELINA BAY and TEMPEST REIGN who settled at the rear.
Race 7	CAROL'S TAB STAKES - C2 - 527	FLASH MISTRESS was scratched due to kennel cough. KAISER IZMIR was a late scratching when found to be suffering from diarrhoea and an elevated temperature. CHESTNUT BALE was a late scratching when found to have a sore toe nail on examination at kennelling time. SUPREME BET led into the first corner but then faltered and dropped out to finish a long last. The vets examination revealed soreness to a shoulder, calf muscle and monkey muscle and a 30 day stand down was ordered. FLASH MISTRESS Trainer J.Hastie Rule 259 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 12.08.04 KAISER IZMIR Trainer N.Green Rule 259 A late scratching due to an elevated temperature and diarrhoea. CHESTNUT BALE Trainer G.Pomeroy Rule 259 A late scratching due to a sore and infected toenail. Stood down for 10 days to and including 12.08.04. SUPREME BET Trainer F.Farmer Rule 329 Suffered from shoulder, calf and monkey muscle soreness and stood down for 30 days to and including 01.09.04.
Race 8	MANUKAU DISTANCE - C1d - 603	STYLISH ZOE was scratched due to suffering from gastroenteritis. SPLICKEZ was tightened and checked by FULL FORCE GALE on the first corner and went back to last. STYLISH ZOE Trainer M.Earley Rule 259 Suffering from gastroenteritis and stood down for 10 days to and including 11.08.04.
Race 9	RADIO PACIFIC DASH - C4/5 - 318	ARNIES FIRST was scratched due to a shoulder injury. HIGH POCKETS began awkwardly and lost several lengths and tailed the field throughout. LITTLE TOOT and SHAR NAZIR collided a couple of times early in the race but then settled and finished 2nd and 3rd. RED COUNTRY was checked and fell in the back straight. RED COUNTRY suffered a fractured foreleg and was humanely put down by the Veterinarian. ARNIES FIRST Trainer F.Farmer Rule 259 Suffering from a shoulder injury and stood down for 30 days to and including 31.08.04. RED COUNTRY Trainer S.Clark Suffered a fractured foreleg and humanely put down by the Veterinarian.
