Race 1	FOTODOG FOTO'S - WGTN - C0 - 295	The favourite MILO O'SHEA was the slowest away but then received a clear run through on the rail to finish in 3rd place.
Race 2	TXT4TIPS (M10 R? 8477) - C1 - 295	PITSTOCK JAZZ raced wide throughout but kept up a strong run to win well. CHIPPEWA BRAVE moved out on the home turn to avoid the heels of ASTRO'S DIAMOND and in doing so, cannoned into HOMEBUSH DIESEL and HOMEBUSH JET who were both checked.
Race 3	SPICERS PAPER DASH - C0 - 295	AGGIE'S STASH was very slow away and lost several lengths. MOXY FAIRBROTHER, WATERLEA LASS and GREY HAVOC came together and jostled for a few strides in the race to the first corner. ANGEL EYES, GREY HAVOC and TINKAMORE collided on the home turn and ANGEL EYES almost fell and lost all chance. WATERLEA LASS was checked as ANGEL EYES dropped back quickly.
Race 4	DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS LTD - C1 - 295	BOLD GYPSY moved out on the bend and this resulted in checks to BUSTER KEATON and FRYERS FLYER who both lost momentum for a couple of strides.
Race 5	EMPIRE HOTEL - PETONE - C1 - 295	DUSTY'S DIAMOND was a late scratching when found to be overweight. The trainer was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 269 (3). RAPID CROSS and LORD FLAME came together and bumped a couple of times soon after the start but they recovered quickly. DUSTY'S DIAMOND Trainer L.Fornasiere. Race 6	STEVE FRANKLIN - CARRIER - C1 - 295	All clear.
Race 7	BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C1 - 525	RUBY HALL ran out from the start and checked ROSIE'S DAUGHTER and DISCIPLINARIAN and they settled in the last three places. RUBY HALL and DISCIPLINARIAN recovered to finish 1st and 2nd but ROSIE'S DAUGHTER tailed the field throughout and finished in last place.
Race 8	WINSTONE WALLBOARDS - C2 - 525	HOMEBUSH RED was scratched Ex Christchurch on 29.07.04. The race was all clear. HOMEBUSH RED. Trainer J.McInerney. Ex Christchurch on 29.07.04.
Race 9	ACCSYS FOR QUICKBOOKS - C2 - 295	LADY PIAVONIC and SUMMER SWEET were scratched due to injuries. The race was all clear. LADY PIAVONIC. Trainer L.Haigh Rule 259 Has a gracilus muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 06.08.04. SUMMER SWEET Trainer S.Gardner Rule 259 Has a cut leg and stood down for 30 days to and including 27.08.04.
