Race 2	FOTODOG FOTO'S - WGTN - C0 - 525	WHEELCHAIR JIM was a late scratching when found to be overweight. The Trainer was fined $100-00 under Rule 269 (3). UNCLE BILL was one of the tailenders on the first corner where he received a check and dropped right out to finish a long last. The dog was examined by the vet and cleared of any injuries. WHEELCHAIR JIM Trainer A.Elers. Rule 269 (3) A late scratching due to being overweight. The Trainer A.Elers was fined $ 100-00.
Race 3	SPICERS PAPER DASH - C0 - 295	All clear.
Race 4	ANGLO UPHOLSTERERS - C1 - 295	One of the favourites OUR MICK was one of the slowest away and raced towards the rear throughout.
Race 5	COPY EXPRESS - PETONE - C1 - 295	KNOCKABOUT NELLY ran in from the start and bumped PAWS A MOMENT and SUPREME PARAGON who lost momentum for a few strides. DESTROYER DOTTIE was checked and fell on the first corner and SUPREME PARAGON was unable to avoid the fallen dog and went over the top. Both Greyhounds were checked by the vet and cleared of injury at that time.
Race 6	COMMERCIAL HOTEL - EKETAHUNA - C1 - 525	YUKON LANE, YOUNG REBEL and DISCIPLINARIAN were all checked on the first corner and they lost several lengths and all chance.
Race 7	EMPIRE HOTEL - PETONE - C1 - 525	All clear.
Race 8	UPPER HUTT COSSIE CLUB - C1 - 295	WAIMARIE moved in running to the first corner and tightened LADY MALONE, FRYERS FLYER and LION RED CAPP. They dropped back to the rear and stayed there. KNIGHT TROOPER received a deep spike wound during the race and was stood down for 14 days. KNIGHT TROOPER. TrainerG & S Hayden/Holmes. Rule 329. Suffered from a deep spike wound and stood down for 14 days to and including 14.07.04.
Race 9	ACCSYS FOR QUICKBOOKS - C2/3 - 525	RUBY HALL was very slow away, lost several lengths and eventually finished well back in 2nd to last place. KRISSY STARDUST was checked entering the final bend when UPAHUT LOONY moved down towards the rail.
Race 10	PETER SINCLAIR PHOTO'S DASH - C2 - 295	DOVE L'AMORE was scratched due to suffering from gastroenteritis. SAMMY NAVIGATOR was slow to begin and missed the start by several lengths. He stayed well back and finished in last place. DOVE L'AMORE Trainer T.Denbee. Rule 259. Suffering from gastroenteritis and stood down for 10 days to and including 09.07.04.
Race 11	BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C3/4 - 295	IRINKA MARY was scratched due to a deltoid muscle injury. WAIWERATAI and RAFFERTY REASON collided twice in the race to the first corner and settled well back. IRINKA MAXINE. Trainer D.Garrett. Rule 259. Suffering from a deltoid muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 10.07.04.
