Judicial report: Weather: Sunny and warm day. Trainer AC Roberts was late to present his dogs for kennelling, and was charged with a breach of Rule 262.2 and Rule 135.1. He was fined $25.00 by the Judicial Steward.
The adjourned hearing in respect of HERE'S FREDDIE and trainer AHG Lee under Rule 377.2 was reconvened. She pleaded guilty to a breach of the rule and was fined $50.00 by the Judicial Steward.
The adjourned hearing in respect of KING LOUIS and trainer AD WILLIAMS under Rule 377.2 was reconvened and the charge dismissed as inquiries established that he had notified the Association office within 48 hours of taking possession of the dog.

Race 1	PEDIGREE ADVANCE SPRINT - C0 - 295	WALL STREET was slow to jump from the boxes settling last finishing on for sixth. WHIPWHOP PATCH drifted to the rear after the jump, finishing last. He was checked by the Club Veterinarian and found to have a fractured left fore toe with a stand down on 30 days recommended. WHIPWHOP PATCH (C White) fracture left fore third toe. Rule 329. 30 days up to and including 28 July 2004.
Race 2	ISLINGTON TAVERN STAKES - C1 - 520	Around the first corner and into the back straight, WAVE THE FERN and AQUA COSTI jostled when racing at the rear losing further ground. They never recovered filling the last two placings.
Race 3	BILL'S BAR & BISTRO SPRINT - C0 - 295	MARSHELLA was tightened between dogs into the first corner coming back on a trailing ROBERTALAN and MISCHIEF TRICK. They never recovered from the incident filling the last three placings.
Race 4	GARRENDS HORSE N HOUND SPRINT - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH BOY was very slow to jump from the outside box, losing about 3 lengths eventually finishing fifth. MELTING POT dwelt slightly when jumping from the inside box, however improved along the rail into the first corner, tightening SYDNEY'S LEGEND and BUS PAINTER on his outer, those two dogs losing ground. In the home straight SYDNEY'S LEGEND struck the hindquarters of BUS PAINTER, both dogs losing all chance. DUSTY DROVER who jumped on terms with the field drifted to last by the first corner never improving in the run in.
Race 5	WILSONS SPORTS BAR STAKES - C1 - 520	Soon after the jump JUNIOR RHODES struck the hindquarters of FLY BYE ANGEL both dogs losing ground and finishing at the rear.
Race 6	COALGATE TAVERN SPRINT - C0 - 295	JUST A LAD ran outwards soon after the jump checking MICHELLE' BUDDY both settling at the rear. Into the first corner OLD JOE came in contact with the favourite HOMEBUSH TYSON who sustained a bad check. Soon after this incident SEASPRAY FOLLY struck the hindquarters of RUFF STUFF both dogs losing all chance. They finished at the rear of the field. The three dogs not involved in the various race incidents filled the first three placings. RUFF STUFF was checked by the Club Veterinarian who detected no injuries.
Race 7	GEORGE CALVERT CLEANING STAKES - C1 - 520	Into the first bend LOCHIVAR FIRE was tightened between dogs losing momentum before running wide around the corner taking JUDYANNE BALE with him. These dogs settled last. JUDYANNE BALE finished strongly for fourth with LOCHIVAR FIRE never improving during the running.
Race 8	ABRAHAMS SPORTS BAR SPRINT - C1 - 295	Around the first corner MR MUG struck the hindquarters of HOMEBUSH BLAZE both dogs losing ground. Turning into the home straight HOMEBUSH JESS moved outwards off HOMEBUSH BLAZE'S hindquarters running wide on the track, taking MR MUG with her. These three dogs finished at the rear. On the point of the home turn the favourite WLLANDRA BALE ran inwards striking the running rail. He was checked by the Club Veterinarian who detected no injuries.
Race 9	THE MILLAR BAR & CAFE STAKES - C0 - 520	RED PAREORA was slow to jump never improving during the running. In the entrance to the first corner BURNHAM THUNDER struck the hindquarters of GIVEN TITLE coming back on an improving RED PAREORA. The favourite McKENZIE LEIGH ran wide around the first corner and into the back straight losing ground, however finished strongly in the home straight for a close fifth. BURNHAM THUNDER and RED PAREORA never recovered filling the last two placings.
Race 10	SHIRLEY VETERINARY CENTRE SPRINT - C2 - 295	Into the first corner TOP CURRENT checked out of the hindquarters of MICHAEL DIAMOND as he moved down towards the rail resulting in checks to OZARK'S GUMBOOT, KIWI KID and MAID OF QUEEN. Soon after this incident MICHAEL DIAMOND broke down before being hit from behind by an improving TOP CURRENT. These dogs never recovered from the incidents with MICHAEL DIAMOND finishing some distance behind the field. He was checked by the Club Veterinarian and found to have a torn gracilus insertion with a stand down of 30 days recommended. SOUTHBROOK STAR (J&D Fahey) stood down at Wanganui GRC meeting on 27 June 2004. Rule 259. 5 days up to and including 1 July 2004. MICHAEL DIAMOND (MM Grant) torn right gracilus insertion. Rule 329. 30 days up to and including 28 July 2004.
Race 11	TEMPS BAR SPRINT - C1 - 295	Into the first corner MISS NEMINBO struck the hindquarters of LOCKIE HANDCUFFS losing all chance, finishing last.
Race 12	COASTERS TAVERN SPRINT - C1 - 295	JIM, LUKIMYU, CURRENT POWER and HOMEBUSH JESS were checked as a result of general tighening into the first bend, losing all chance.
Race 13	SUPERPETS STAKES - C0 - 520	CLAN EBONY was slow to jump settling last and ran on well for third. THRILLING VENUS jumped to the lead before trailing to the end of the back straight, thereafter compounding to finish last. She was checked by the Club Veterinarian who found nothing amiss.
Race 14	BOWL & JACK TAVERN SPRINT - C1 - 295	FATAL OBSESSION and HOMEBUSH FLIPPER drifted to the rear on jumping from the boxes. Into the first bend HOMEBUSH SHADOW moved off the rail tightening IVORY DELUXE, JACK RHODE and LYNNY LOU on his outer. HOMEBUSH SHADOW ran on strongly for third with the other dogs finishing at the rear.
Race 15	GURDLER SAND SUPPLIES STAKES - C2 - 520	HARVARD CHIEF moved down towards the rail into the first bend, tightening KELBRETT PRINCE and SPIRIT OF OZARK, these dogs settling last before running on to finish mid field. In the entrance to the home straight HARVARD CHIEF and YORKED AGAIN collided losing all chance. DR DUDLEY (BC Dann) strained left hock. Rule 257. 30 days up to and including 27 July 2004.
Race 16	KOLORFUL KANVAS SPRINT - C1 - 295	UP A NOTCH was slow to jump settling last. HOMEBUSH LEGEND who jumped from the outside box, moved down to the rail checking ENDLESS STORY, MULBERRY ROLL, HOMEBUSH SNIPPET, MY PERK and the favourite POWERFAST PATCH. HOMEBUSH LEGEND ran on to win the event with UP A NOTCH running on strongly for third. The other dogs filled the last five placings.
