Judicial report: Weather: Beautifully fine and warm afternoon. Trainer RS Parker was questioned as to the non supply of a catcher for FERRIS BALE in Race 9 The Coasters Tavern Stakes. In explanation he stated that he had arranged for Mr B Conner to catch the dog, however he failed to do so. Taking into account the circumstances, he was warned of his obligations with no monetary penalty imposed.

Into the first corner an improving JEMALONG EASTERN and HOMEBUSH LUMP were checked as a result of tightening from dogs on their outer, losing all chance filling the last two places with MARISSA BALE finishing on for fifth. Race 4 | WILSONS SPORTS BAR STAKES - C2 - 520 | The second favourite TUKI AQUA was slow to jump from the outside box, settling last, however finished fast along the rail in the home straight for a close up fourth. BANKSIDE BELLA (Adcock/Hopping) left gracilus bruising. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 259. 14 days up to and including 28 June 2004. |
Race 5 | ABRAHAMS SPORTS BAR STAKES - C2 - 520 | Into the first corner HOT RED MINI was checked when tightened between SHIRAZ ROYALE and YORKED AGAIN, coming back on a trailing HARVARD BOY and BANKSIDE BRONCO. These dogs never recovered, finishing at the rear of the field. NIL DEFECTS who settled mid field, drifted out over the concluding stages to finish last. |
Race 6 | BILLS BAR & BISTRO SPRINT - C2 - 295 | In the first corner GUNNADOO LASS and LAKOTA GOLD came together, coming back on a trailing HOMEBUSH FIN, with DICTATION running wide to avoid the skirmish. These dogs never recovered from the incident, filling the last four places. Soon after this incident LAKOTA GOLD hit the running rail free of interference. He was checked by the Club Veterinarian who detected no injuries. |

Race 8 | EXCELSIOR SPORTS BAR SPRINT - C4/5 - 295 | KNOCKABOUT FRED and HERE GOES were slow to jump from the boxes, settling at the rear. KNOCKABOUT FRED finished strongly in the straight for third, with HERE GOES finishing near the rear. RAPID EXPRESS who was mid field early, drifted out over the concluding stages to finish last. He was checked by the Club Veterinarian who detected nothing amiss. STARLIGHT BALE (AC Roberts) torn toenail left hind. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Race 9 | COASTERS TAVERN STAKES - C4 - 520 | Into the first corner FERRIS BALE was checked between dogs coming back on a trailing KERCHAK and JIMMY HAND. These dogs never recovered, filling the last three places. The short priced favourite SUPERSTITIOUS settled mid field into the first corner, before getting into the clear down the back straight, running on strongly to win the event well. |
Race 10 | COALGATE TAVERN STAKES - C3 - 520 | GATLIN BALE settled last after jumping from the boxes, finishing on over the concluding stages for sixth. Race 11 | TEMPS BAR SPRINT - C2 - 295 | HOMEBUSH SALLY was slow to jump from the inside box and when improving into the first corner along the rail, was tightened by dogs on her outer, losing all chance finishing last. Soon after this incident MELTING POT struck the hindquarters of FAST AND FIT, with checks to OZARK'S GUMBOOT and SYDNEY'S LEGEND. These dogs never recovered, finishing amongst the tail enders.
