Race 1 JIMBOS PETFOODS DASH - C1 - 318 Sambuca Pete surged to the lead and despite being checked by Our Polar striking his hind quarters in the early running, held his momentum and went on strongly to the line. Our Polar went back through the field after the contact with the eventual winner - checking Thrilling Lad en route. No 6 Smooth Harry (RJM Smith) Rule 259 - calf tear/swelling. Stand down 10 days to 19.06.04. Dog presented. VC held.
Race 2 BELLBIRD ARMS DASH - C1 - 318 Opening Time raced midfield until in contact with Farmer Benson - then drifted back towards the rear.
Race 3 FRIDAY FLASH STAKES - C1 - 527 Masonry and Calm Abiding led into the first bend, with Masonry holding until the straight entrance where he veered wide - Calm Abiding surged along the rail for the win. No 5 Raise Your Glass (B & L Craik). Rule 258. Stand down 30 days to 09.07.04. No 7 Just The Don (JB Hastie). Rule 259 - toe friction burn. Stand down 5 days to 14.06.04. Dog presented. VC held.
Race 4 STREETS ICE CREAM SIX PACK STAKES - C2 - 527 Lazy Alex was the leader until gathered in towards the bottom of the back straight where Shining Comet, having moved off the rail early in the initial stages and then when the field in front veered wide had moved back and settled on the rail, stormed through and ran away from the field to the line - leaving a margin in excess of 6 lengths to the next dog. Skipper Rip ran on late in the home straight, passing 4 dogs to claim second placing. No 8 Wild Whiz (M Earley). Rule 259 - shoulder bruising. Stand down 10 days to 18.06.04. Dog presented. VC held.
Race 5 COFFEE NEWS DASH - C2 - 318 Sand Dancer was positioned handy, in the first three,until she faltered somewhat in her stride and began to drift towards the rear, checking Longest Drive as she went back. No 2 Faithful Bart (NP Green). Rule 259 - wrist injury. Stand down 30 days to 09.07.04. .
Race 6 RADIO PACIFIC DISTANCE - C1/2d - 603 Thrilling Heidi led Pilli Appeal and Lindale Express in the early stages and the order was the same at the finish line. Gold Jed moved out at the first bend, pushing Kolliwobble wide.
Race 7 PAT PATERSON MEMORIAL SPRINT - C4 - 318 Race clear. No 2 Yeap (GE Harding). Rule 259 - sprain to carpus, surgery required. Stand down 30 days to 07.07.04. VC held.
Race 8 THE SOUTHERN TRUST DASH - C4/5 - 318 Vegie Bill was the first to show out from the jump, but held only briefly until Aston Marshal worked through a tightening field to reach the rail, then raced away to the line. Never Time was squeezed for racing room after the jump and then after skewing sidways and scrambling to straighten, was not able to make any impact on the field. No 2 Thelma Bale (GN Pomeroy). Gained start in race 7.
Race 9 ROYAL WOLF CONTAINERS STAKES - C4/5 - 527 Six starters. Swift Appeal, the hot favourite, ran unchallenged to the line where he held a margin in excess of 9 lengths. Sunset Jest switched wider entering the straight and finished running on for second. No 2 Paddy Power (DD Schofield). Rule 259 - strained toe ligaments. Stand down 10 days to 18.06.04. VC held.
Race 10 GOBIS CLUB BONUS SERIES #2 - FINAL - RESf - 527 Race clear. No 8 Flash Mistress (JB Hastie). Rule 259 - infected toe nail. Stand down 5 days to 13.06.04. Dog presented. VC held. No 9 Tighnabruich (OK Marron). Rule 259 - vomiting/diarrhoea. Stand down 10 days to 19.06.04. VC held.
