Race 4 | WILSONS SPORTS BAR STAKES - C1 - 520 | COMMANDO JEWEL was slow to jump from the inside box settling last and never improving during the running. Into the first corner KELBRETT PRINCE was tightened between dogs settling well back before finishing strongly in the straight for a close up fourth. ICE FERN who settled well back during the running ran on strongly down the outer for third. WAVE THE FERN (GA Cleeve) late scratching with diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Race 6 | ISLINGTON TAVERN SPRINT - C3 - 295 | Soon after jumping from the boxes ULTRAVOX was tightened by HOMEBUSH KAYCEE as she drove down to the rail from her outside draw. Soon after this incident MRS PEEL moved down to the rail tightening BOY RACER and PETITE JEWEL on her inner. ZINGERS NOTCH who was tailing these dogs ran wide taking PETITE JEWEL with her. As a result of these incidents these dogs lost all chance. |
Race 7 | PEDIGREE ADVANCE STH ISLAND CHAMPS HT 1 - C5q - 520 Heat 1 | JIMMY HAND was slow to jump from the outside box finishing sixth. In the back straight an improving DR ABERNATHY struck the hindquarters of TRENT BALE with both dogs being badly checked losing all chance. |
Race 8 | COASTERS TAVERN SPRINT - C4 - 295 | The favourite MR TRICK was slow to jump from the inside box however recovered to rail, up and win the event. Soon after the jump FLIGHTY came back on RINALDI ASTON both dogs sustaining severe checks and finishing some distance behind the field. FLIGHTY was checked by the Vlub Veterinarian and found to have fractured a left hock, resulting in her euthanasia. No injury was detected with RINALDI ASTON.. Race 9 | PEDIGREE ADVANCE STH ISLAND CHAMPS HT 2 - C5q - 520 Heat 1 | Into the first corner GEOFFREY CRAYON and STARLIGHT BALE came together with STARLIGHT BALE losing ground. Soon after GEOFFREY CRAYON ran outwards coming in contact with KERCHAK on his outer. GEOFFREY CRAYON finished third with STARLIGHT BALE finishing well along the rail for fourth. KERCHAK never recovered finishing last. DR OSCAR drifted to last after jumping from the outside box never improving during the running finishing near the rear. NEW YORK COP who was handy throughout drifted out over the concluding stages to finish last. He was checked by the Club Veterinarian who detected nothing amiss. |
Race 11 | EXCELSIOR SPORTS BAR STAKES - C3 - 520 | TO LIVE BY was slow to jump settling last. Into the back straight DR BERTRAM, DR DUDLEY and IRINKA CHOCA came together losing ground, with an improving TO LIVE BY running wide to avoid the skirmish. DR BERTRAM ran on for third with TO LIVE BY fourth. The other two dogs finished at the rear. MILANION (JF Allen) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. The favourite SPOTTED HAND, DR COSMO and HOMEBUSH GEORGE came together into the first corner. Turning into the home straight SPOTTED HAND moved off the rail and finished fairly for third.
