Into the first corner MELTING POT struck the hindquarters of HOMEBUSH MICK, both dogs losing momentum with a check to DR SCHUMACHER inside them. These dogs filled the last three places. |
Race 2 | COFFEE CLUBS ON HALSWELL SPRINT - C3 - 295 | HOMEBUSH KAYCEE was very slow to jump from the outside box settling last and never improving. GUNNADOO LASS and MARRICK MAID came together into the first corner , GUNNADOO LASS running on for fourth with MARRICK MAID well back. |
Race 3 | BILLS BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C2 - 520 | The favourite TOKEN CHARM was slow to jump from the outside box, however obtained a good passage around the first bend, settling just off the lead running on in the home straight to win. Race 4 | TEMPS BAR SPRINT - C4 - 295 | Into the first corner HIGH FEVER moved off the rail coming in contact with the favourite RINALDI ASTON, who lost ground finishing on in the home straight for fourth. HERE GOES was a late scratching at kennelling when weighing in 1.7kg over its last race start. Race 5 | $75,000 PICK SIX - C3 - 520 | Into the first corner the short priced favourite THRILLING FLOYD checked out off the hindquarters of WAR TOKEN, running wide and taking HAPPY GIGGLE and HOMEBUSH BILL with him. HOMEBUSH BILL finished strongly in the straight for fourth, with the other dogs filling the last two places. |
Race 6 | SHIRLEY VETERINARY CENTRE STAKES - C2 - 520 | INDICATIVE and MILKY LABRI drifted to the rear of the field from the jump, MILKY LABRI getting a good passage along the rail around the first corner, to run on in the straight for third. INDICATIVE never improved, finishing last. |
Race 7 | COLIN COUNSELL MEMORIAL - C5 - 520 | FAITHFUL WHISKY the favourite was slow to jump from the outside box, settling last however improved wide around the first corner, running on over the concluding stages to get up and win. Into the first corner CHANTILLY BALE, STARLIGHT BALE and FERRIS BALE were tightened between dogs, settling at the rear. FERRIS BALE finished strongly in the straight for fourth, with the other dogs near the rear. TONY ROME who ran wide around the first bend and into the back straight, finished amongst the tail enders. Race 8 | PUB CHARITY DISTANCE - C2d - 732 | Into the first corner AQUA GOOFY eased when tightened between dogs, running wide around the first bend and into the straight the first time. He finished strongly in the straight for second. Soon after this incident MISS BLUE VELVET and SLY PARK were tightened between dogs, drifting to the rear. SLY PARK finished strongly in the straight for a close third, with MISS BLUE VELVET finishing last. The favourite EGYPTIAN GOLD drove to the lead soon after the start, winning the event easily. Race 9 | EXCELSIOR SPORTS BAR STAKES - C4 - 520 | The short priced favourite SLENDER MAREE was tightened between dogs into the first corner, settling near the rear of the field. She obtained a rails run down the back straight, finishing strongly in the straight for second. The winner USER FRIENDLY drove to the lead into the first corner, holding on to win the event well. |
Race 10 | COALGATE TAVERN SPRINT - C5 - 295 | After an even dispatch GEOFFREY CRAYON drifted to last, finishing strongly in the home straight for second. Into the first corner LIGHTENING LIGHT and ROTKARA BOMBER came together, both dogs losing ground. Turning for home and improving ROTKARA BOMBER came in contact with EJAY'S LANDING and BUBBA'S HAND, these dogs losing all chance filling the last three places with LIGHTENING LIGHT running on for fourth.
