Judicial report: Weather: Fine, until last race when heavy shower of rain fell. The Acting Judicial Chairman, Mr S Tyler, approved a written request from the trainer of the greyhound Lucky Lipinski (McIntyre/Flowers) for a stand down period of 14 days, in terms of Rule 257.1.

| Race 1 | CAMBRIDGE HURDLES CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES HEAT - C1/2hq - 457 Heat 1 | As for all races, a review of this race was compromised by a fault in the TAB's transmission to the video monitor which provided a very hazy picture. This was a hurdles race, won by Aranuijazz. During the early running Chippewa Brave stumbled badly on landing at the second hurdle, scrambled and avoided a total fall, but was out of contention and trailed the field home. Off The Bench struck the final hurdle heavily and did not place. Both Chippewa Brave and Off The Bench were subject to stand down periods following post race veterinary examinations. No 7 Chippewa Brave (BJ Melville). Rule 329 - stifle cut. Stand down 10 days to 09.05.04. VC held. No 8 Off The Bench (BJ Jordan). Rule 329 - haematoma on forearm. Stand down 7 days to 06.05.04. | Race 8 | WWW.DOGTIPS.NET.NZ STAKES - C2 - 457 | Hostile Girlie was first to show after jump, then Ballibeast made move which took him from the back of the field to be positioned to take the rails option and the lead - he then skipped away and put a break on the field sufficient to hold out the favourite, Mr Paterson. No 3 Gozo Lantern (DD Schofield). Under stand down ex AGRC meeting. |

| Race 11 | RAGLAN STAKES - C2/3 - 457 | Token Sniper was slow to start, conceding ground. Dizzy Spell, the reserve from box 3, sprinted to an early lead only to be headed by the other reserve, Someone, from box 8. Both these dogs broke away from the rest of the field, with Someone holding out Dizzy Spell at the line. No 3 Romberg Reason ( B & L Craik). Rule 259 - dislocated toe. Stand down 30 days to 28.05.04.
