Race 1 TXT4TIPS (M9 R? 8477) - C3/4 - 305 JET TRACKER made contact with MISTER TRICK on the bend and MISTER TRICK lost momentum and dropped back a couple of places. TOKEN WARRIOR ran out from the start and jostled GLORIA'S CHARM and INSIST for a few strides.
Race 2 MAIDEN STAKES - C0 - 520 MYSTIC DANCER, DISCIPLINARIAN and DUSTY'S DIAMOND came together and bumped for a few strides on the first corner.
Race 3 HARDY TRADE SUPPLY - C5 - 305 All clear.
Race 4 ACCSYS FOR QUICK BOOKS - C1 - 520 GO FAITH GO jumped out and checked TREACHEROUS who dropped back and was last into thew first turn. TREACHEROUS then received a good clear run through on the rail and won the race with ease. GOZO LINA suffered from skinned pads and was stood down for 7 days. GOZO LINA. Race 5 'STEINY BLUE' DISTANCE - C1/2d - 645 RUBY HALL was scratched due to illness. The race was all clear. RUBY HALL. Trainer A.Hall. Rule 259. Suffering from diarrhoea, was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 04.05.04.
Race 6 COPY EXPRESS - PETONE - C2 - 305 ENROLLMENT was a late scratching when found to have a toe injury. LAST TRAM and IRINKA MARY were tightened between other runners in the race to the first corner, went back to the rear and finished well back. ENROLLMENT. Trainer G.Frost. Rule 259. A late scratching when found to have a toe injury. Was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 05.05.04.
Race 7 E.J.WING MEMORIAL CHALLENGE CUP - C5f - 520 RAILROAD PAT was scratched due to dehydration. TOKEN GENIUS was a Club scratching without penalty due to being incorrectly placed in the field. TONY ROME moved in on the first corner and tightened WINSOME SUCCESS, CATCH ME SOON and CAWBOURNE BAILEY who then ran out and pushed KERCHAK very wide. Those five runners lost several lengths and finished well behind the three placegetters. RAILROAD PAT. Trainer M.Flipp. Rule 259. Suffering from dehydration and stood down for 10 days to and including 06.05.04. TOKEN GENIUS. Trainer G.Cleeve. A Club scratching when incorrectly selected into the field.
Race 8 ANGLO UPHOLSTERERS - C1 - 305 MAVRIKI ENYA was scratched ex Wanganui on 27.04.04. ALABAMA was scratched and is now deceased. The race was all clear. MAVRIKI ENYA. Trainer D.Symes. Ex Wanganui on 27.04.04. ALABAMA. Trainer J.Cole. Now deceased.
Race 9 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C1 - 520 GUILT TRIP, ROSZEL BALE and HUNTING TREASURE came together, bumped and lost momentum on the first corner and as a result they settled back in the field. The favourite HUNTING TREASURE was again checked on the final bend, went back to last and stayed well back.
Race 10 EMPIRE HOTEL - PETONE - C2 - 520 General tightening on the first corner resulted in checks to several runners with SAUCY ANNA and SMART TIP being the most affected and they were pushed very wide on the first bend.
