Race 1 | BARRONS SUPPLIES SPRINT - C1 - 295 | Ozark's Gumboot (2), Euan Subritzky (4) and Kev The Alien (5) vied for the lead in the run to the turn, with Euan Subritzky leading at the top of the straight. Ozark's Gumboot ran on strongly along the rail to get up and win by a nose from Euan Subritzky. Mr Card (7) ran on well in the straight to get up for 3rd, while Homebush Boy (3) missed the jump by several lengths but finished on strongly in the straight to get up for 5th. |
Race 2 | GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND SPRINT - C1 - 295 | Red King (M.J.Flipp) was permitted to have left hind leg strapped under Rule 243 and papers endorsed accordingly. Homebush Snippet (5) jumped quickly to the front and held on to win by a neck from the favourite Lakota Gold (8) which was last to jump, up third on the turn, and finished on fairly for 2nd. Kiwi Niko (4) was always handy and finished on for 3rd. |
Race 3 | ISLINGTON TAVERN SPRINT - C0 - 295 | Homebush Diva (5) took the lead early and held on to win from Shady's Mate (4) which was checked on the turn when Lynny Lou (3) which was near the lead ran out wide. The incident also checked the running of Hot Spot (6) and Homebush Diesel (8) with both dogs finishing near the rear. |
Race 4 | KOLORFUL KANVAS STAKES - C1 - 520 | Railroad Trump (M.J.Flipp) permitted to have left hock strapped under Rule 243 and papers endorsed accordingly. Ole Dark (7) was handy early, took the lead on the final turn, and pulled away to win by 3 and a half lengths from the early leader Bound For China (2). Railroad Trump (3) was 3rd after being in second place early. |
Race 5 | FLAIR STAKES - C0 - 520 | Buck's Folding (8) flew the traps, was up to lead on the first turn and finished 2nd by a nose when run down on the line by Aqua Sheila (7) which was close up throughout. Favourite Homebush Red (4) was 5 lengths back in 3rd after being in the leading bunch to the straight. |
Race 6 | COASTERS TAVERN SPRINT - C0 - 295 | Favourite Miss Neminbo (1) led to the top of the straight where it was headed by Homebush Teddy (2) which pulled away to win by 2 and a quarter lengths. Race 7 | MR HILLS BIG 60 STAKES - C1 - 520 | Morpheus (3) took the lead from the jump and bolted in by 7 and a half lengths from Bankside Bronco (7) which ran on in the straight after being slow early. Yorked Again (8) got up for 3rd late after being second last early. Astra Nomacool (J. & D.Fahey), Rule 259 left shoulder muscle tear. 10 days up to and including 7/5/2004. Race 8 | SHIRLEY VETERINARY CENTRE SPRINT - C1 - 295 | Favourite Scenic Delight (5) led to the turn, was checked by Lochinvar Rhett (6) which ran under it, then was struck from behind when drifting back through the field, and finished 6th. Homebush Opal (1) was slow early, got a rails run to get near lead on turn, and ran on best to win by 1 length from Ivory Deluxe (8) which finished on from midfield. |
Race 9 | THE MILLER BAR & CAFE STAKES - C0 - 520 | Aqua Fred (5) led to the final turn but tied up in the run to the line and finished 3rd. Mulberry Bean (6) was close up, took the lead in the run home and held on to win from the fast finishing Token Kiwi (8). In the run to the first bend Spend The Penny (3) climbed into the rear of Ice and Coal (4) with both dogs dropping well back and finishing a distant last. |
Race 10 | GEORGE CALVERT CLEANERS SPRINT - C1 - 295 | Cypress lakes (4) took the lead from the jump and held on to win by three-quarters of a length from Dreamchaser (8) which was slow early, went around the field, and ran on strongly. Jeamlong Eastern (6) was 3rd throughout, while favourite Homebush Frank (5) was slow out, ran into traffic on the turn, and finished on for 4th. |
