Judicial report: Weather: Overcast and warm Trainer J Fahey pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 135(1) in allowing a greyhound in her care to escape from her vehicle. She was fined $50.00.
Mrs G McInerney, Representing the McInerney kennels was charged with a breach of Rule 302 (3) in respect of THRILLING LLOYD who had a 'boxed first' endorsement on his papers. The dog handled by J McInerney Jnr did not box first for Race 2, the Garrards Horse and Hounds Stakes. She pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $25.00.

Into the first corner ULTRAVOX lost momentum in checking off the heels of HOMEBUSH GEORGE drifting out to finish last. |
| Race 2 | GERRARDS HORSE & HOUND STAKES - C2 - 520 | The short priced favourite THRILLING FLOYD settled mid field on jumping and into the first corner moved out off the hindquarters of RANDOM HARVEST, coming in contact with KELLBRETT PRINCE and TULONGA LOAFER on his outer. A trailing MILKI LABRI and BLUE FERN ran wide to avoid the incident. THRILLING FLOYD ran on strongly to win easily with the other dogs filling the last four placings. |
| Race 3 | WLSONS SPORTS BAR & TAB SPRINT - C2 - 295 | Entering the first corner the leader COSTA TIME moved outwards tightening WAG and the favourite MICHAEL DIAMOND on his outer, those two dogs coming back on a trailing FEARLESS MAGOO who fell. COSTA TIME ran on to win with MICHAEL DIAMOND and WAG third and fourth FEARLESS MAGOO regained his feet to finish some distance behind the field. He was checked by the Club Veterinarian who detected no injuries. |
| Race 4 | CANTERBURY DRAUGHT 6PACK STAKES - C4/5 - 520 | DR ABERNATHY ran wide around the first bend, settling last and never improving during the running. TONY ROME jumped to the lead from the boxes, leading all the way to hold out the favourite CATCH ME SOON. |
| Race 5 | COASTERS TAVERN STAKES - C1 - 520 | ICE FERN ran wide around the first corner settling last, finishing on for sixth. The favourite RAILROAD PAT drove to the lead by the first coner, running away to win easily. |
| Race 6 | BILLS BAR & BISTRO SPRINT - C2/3 - 295 | BOY RACE, MARRICK MAID and HOMEBUSH KAYCEE were checked as a result of general tightening into the first corner, losing all chance filling the last three placings. The favourite MR TRICK jumped straight to the lead and was never headed, winning the event easily. |
| Race 7 | LION FOUNDATION GIBSON TROPHY - C2d - 732 | MADAME'S PRIDE was slow to jump from the outside box settling last, however improved quickly to settle mid field, finishing fourth. EYGPTIAN GOLD drove to the lead soon after the start to lead all the way and win easily. The favourite SLY PARK settled near the rear never improving during the running. |

Into the first corner ROTKARA BOMBER and BUBBA'S HAND were tightened between dogs coming back on an improving EJAY'S LANDING, RINALDI ASTON and HAWK DREAMER. These dogs never recovered finishing at the rear of the field. |
