Judicial report: Weather: Overcast with showers, some heavy. A Stipendiary Steward Enquiry, in terms of Rule 123.8, was opened to enquire into and determine the circumstances which caused the late scratching of the greyhound Lucky Lipinski (McIntyre/Flowers) from race 15. The dog sustained a ruptured blood vessel in the nose when his jaw became jammed between bars of the kennel block cage where it was housed. The matter is on-going.

Race 1 SUDSARELLA LAUNDRY DASH - C0 - 318 Miss Tracey Lee showed first after jump, holding until Educating Archie worked along the rail to take over the lead. The two dogs came together momentarily as they entered the straight but the order was unchanged at the line.
Race 2 VALLEY POOL DASH - C0 - 318 Bingo The Dingo was slow to start, conceding ground and remaining towards the rear, accompanied by a wide running Ore Well, from that point. Sherrindilly took the field into the straight but in the run to the line was gathered in by Bold Hove.
Race 3 JIMBOS PETFOODS STAKES - C0 - 527 Jim, the favourite, scrambling after the jump,then moved to midfield at the first bend only to be checked when in contact with Heza Scallyway as that dog moved off the rail. Jim flared wide and when he rejoined the field further on he came into sharp contact with the rear of Ceramic, Ceramic having just been checked back. Jim again flared wide and finished towards the rear.
Race 4 BELLBIRD ARMS DASH - C1 - 318 Last Star was slow to start. Sue Van Gill cleared away early and held well.
Race 5 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C1 - 318 Race held in driving rain. Flash Tyler slow to start. Hostile Girlie was the early leader until Robust Rock headed her moving into the bend and held from there. No 1 Satara ( W Steele). Rule 259 - bruised toe. Stand down 10 days to 14.04.04. Dog presented. VC held. .
Race 6 STREETS ICE CREAM STAKES - C1 - 527 Just The Don took an early lead right to the line. Mintie Moment was squeezed for room by Raise Your Glass after the jump - then checked off the back of the field in the early running. Mintie Moment veered wide and was towards rear for the rest of the journey. No 5 Easter Man (K Lomas). Rule 259 - injured toe. Stand down 30 days to 14.05.04.
Race 7 CATERING PROFESSIONALS STAKES - C1 - 527 Splicklez was checked at the first bend when Golden Lobo moved out from the rail - Golden Lobo and Splicklez then moved out further and impeded Lumos Obliviate's progress. Terrigal Drive led from the jump to the finish with a sustained performance.
Race 8 TINT-A-CAR DASH - C1 - 318 Race clear.
Race 9 FRIDAY FLASH STAKES - C1 - 527 Dr Ronan slow to start. Flash Mistress was the intial leader, guiding the field through the first bend until Rivette Reason took control and did not relinquish the lead from that point. Rich And Blue was buffeted badly at the first bend and when checked scrambled for her footing for several paces, impediing Allover Now's progress. Gozo Reg made a strong late run for third.
Race 10 DENNY'S RESTAURANT DASH - C2 - 318 Mister Trick went swiftly to the front and held with ease to the line.
Race 11 COMMERCIAL PLUMBNG STAKES - C2 - 527 Mcdeebee trailed field into the first bend and then moved easily through the field down the back straight to be positioned behind the leaders entering the straight - he then switched out and drove strongly to the line for the win.
Race 12 NZ SIRES PRODUCE STAKES - HEAT 1 - R/Aq - 527 Heat 1 Bankside Dream was midfield through the first bend on the inner - then moved forward to the lead and cleared effortlessly away to the to the line.Eiffel Ami and Cruzmore came into contact at the first bend - neither dog improving from the rear from that point.
Race 13 NZ SIRES PRODUCE STAKES - HEAT 2 - R/Aq - 527 Heat 1 Bankside Brat carried an early lead to the line with ease. Quiet Spirit moved across the back of the field after the jump, impacting with Ina Tizzy and then Kiwi Fire - Kiwi Fire skewing sideways momentarily.
Race 14 ROYAL WOLF CONTAINERS DASH - C3 - 318 Race clear.
Race 15 NZ SIRES PRODUCE STAKES - HEAT 3 - R/Aq - 527 Heat 1 Lucky Lipinski was a late scratching, reducing the starters to 6.Milanion was the early leader and although holding throughout was beaten in the last strides by Muslie Man. Muslie Man had moved off the rail in the early stages and checked Burn The Peg - Coruba Storm then checked off the back of Burn The Peg before moving forward and taking that dog's line. (Late scratching). No 8 Lucky Lipinski (McIntyre/Flowers). Rule 259 - injured during kennelling, ruptured vein on nose. Stand down 3 days to 08.04.04.
Race 16 COCA-COLA STAKES - C3 - 527 A very tightly bunched field moved into the first bend before Token Sniper, then midfield on the inner, moved out and into the path of Marluke and Melissa Bale, impeding their forward momentum. Graeshar's Boy drifted from midfield during the run down the back straight and on reaching the rear, stayed there.
Race 17 RADIO PACIFIC STAKES - C4/5 - 527 Idol Appeal put an early break on the field and held impressively.
Race 18 MAD BUTCHER DASH - C4/5 - 318 Vegie Bill tumbled to the track at the first bend. He regained his footing and was able to finish the race - being cleared of injury post race. No 6 Blue Paragon (D Van Meeuwen). Rule 259 - diarrhoea. Stand down 10 days to 14.04.04. VC held.
