Judicial report: Weather: Fine Mr PW Cleaver, the trainer of Miss Tracey Lee, presented her with a excess weight variance (minus 2 kilograms) - this resulted in that greyhound being a late scratching from race 2, and a fine of $100.00 being imposed against the trainer in terms of Rule 269.3.

Race 1 CAROL'S TAB MAIDEN SPRINT HEAT 1 - C0 - 318 Silk Ripple was slow away but recovered quickly along the rail during running to take out the race. Paddle Foot was up in second position in the early stages then after being squeezed for room went back through the field and fell on reaching the rear runners. Towser and Bonnie Token were impacted by the fall - both tailing off. Paddle Foot was not injured. No 1 Wee Silver Hawk (B & L Craik). Ruled 259- muscle injury. Stand down 30 days to 13.04.04.
Race 2 CAROL'S TAB MAIDEN SPRINT HEAT 2 - C0 - 318 Miss Tracey Lee a late scratching, reducing field to 7 starters. Supreme Jester took an early lead and held strongly. Rockin Billy crossed after the jump, checking the progress of Hugo Tyler and causing Pizza Bad Boy to tail off after knocking that dog sideways. After reaching the rail in the early running, Rockin Billy moved off sharply and again checked Hugo Tyler.
Race 3 TINT A CAR STAKES - C0 - 527 Nathan Bale was a tearaway leader through the first bend and down the back straight until gathered in by Solo Cruise- that dog then holding to the line.Solo Cruise had been in early contact with Spooky Fella when exiting the first bend as Spooky Fella came off the rail. Stallone was slow to start. No 5 Heza Scallywag (CA Symes). Gained start in race 1.
Race 4 CAROL'S TAB MAIDEN SPRINT HEAT 3 - C0 - 318 Bedas Boy and Grasscutter Bob led into the straight, then as they straightened Grasscutter Bob checked slightly off the rear of Bedas Boy, causing that dog to pivot around slightly before resuming his momentum. Hostile Reign made a withering finish down the track outer to take the win in the last few strides. Hostile Reign had been squeezed at the jump by Bedas Boy moving across to the rail at the same time as Bold Hove moved out. Lady Barbie was somewhat wayward at the start when moving out from box 1 and checking Jumbo Flash and then coming into contact with Bold Hove - Lady Barbie skewing sideways for several strides.
Race 5 COCA COLA DASH - C1 - 318 Winsome Eels showed speed until Mr Luke burst clear and held strongly to the line. The field packed towards the rear in the early stages with Last Star being impeded. Satara was slow to start and when reaching the rear of the field checked off the back of runners there. .
Race 6 PETWARE STAKES HEAT 1 - C1 - 527 Ollymacron sped away to take an early lead from the outside draw then appeared to falter in his stride and dropped to the rear, out of contention. Raise Your Glass reached the line with a margin in excess of 9 lengths to the next dog. Gozo Reg made ground well for third after racing towards rear throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed that Ollymacron had sustained a fractured stopper bone and the greyhound was euthanised.
Race 7 PETWARE STAKES HEAT 2 - C1 - 527 Lazy Alex was swiftly to the fore and held for the duration of the race. Yalah Ebony barged across towards the rail at the jump, contributing to a tightening up of the inner dogs. Later in the running Yallah Ebony checked off the rear of Sambuca Pete, Yallah Ebony skewing sideways for several paces before regaining momentum.
Race 8 CATERING PROFESSIONALS DASH - C2 - 318 Six starters. High Pockets moved across sharply towards the rail in the middle stages and Farmer Benson was checked and knocked sideways when buffeted between High Pockets and Jodoman. Miss Jade finished best with a last strides effort. No 1 Luminoso (SC Mann). Rule 259 - triceps tear. Stand down 14 days to 28.03.04. VC held.
Race 9 PETWARE STAKES HEAT 3 - C1 - 527 The favourite Rasmah Reason settled midfield initially then moving down back straight moved forward and pulled away from the field to the line. Bazil's Token, Justa Toff and Lumos Obliviate bunched after the jump.
Race 10 PETWARE STAKES HEAT 4 - C1 - 527 Dr Ronan, the favourite, trailed the field into the first bend and then when the rail opened up moved forward into third position - holding behind Bozo Fulton and Claire Eyes to the line. Imposter flared wide out of the first bend, ran wide until crossing back to the rail late - to tail the field home.
Race 11 PROBLEM BUSTERS DASH - C1 - 318 Lucky Lipinski, the favourite, ran clear early and held to the finish. Eiffel Ami was slow to start but recovered to finish just in behind the placegetters. Real Silence was checked in the middle stages when squeezed for racing room.
Race 12 STREET'S ICE CREAM STAKES - C2 - 527 The favourite Mr Bell was squeezed at the first bend, being shuffled back to the rear into the path of Our Madge. Mr Bell recovered strongly down the back straight but could not gather in the first three dogs - those dogs having put a break on the field in the early running. Parra Power held well for the win.
Race 13 ROYAL WOLF CONTAINERS DASH - C2 - 318 Seven starters. Geechie Lobo stormed away from the field after the jump and went unchallenged to the line. Hot Pockets was buffeted and knocked against the rail rounding the bend and was out of contention from that point. No 2 Our Polar (G Calverley). Rule 259 - hock strain. Stand down 21 days to 03.04.04. VC held.
Race 14 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C3 - 318 Le Mans Song, from the outside draw, held with ease after setting the early pace. Speed Signal pushed out from an inside draw, impacting with Allegro Flight and impeding that dog and Little Toot. Speed Signal stepped clear from the bunch and finished well for second, notwithstanding that a post race veterinary examination revealed he had sustained an injury during the running. No 2 Speed Signal (M Earley). Rule 329 - tendon injury, front left foot. Stand down 14 days to 29.03.04. VC held.
Race 15 RADIO PACIFIC STAKES - C4/5 - 527 Seven starters. Uptown Dance took field into the first bend and continued to extend her lead down the back straight until headed briefly by Trendy Rhode. Some Joe commenced a forward move down the back straight from a postion towards rear then stormed along rail to claim the win, from Trendy Rhode, in the last strides. No 1 Dr Kingsley (L Nixon). Rule 259. Stand down 30 days to 11.04.04. No 3 Thrilling Heidi (B & L Craik). Rule 259 - broken toe. Stand down 30 days to 13.04.04.
Race 16 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DASH - C4/5 - 318 Thelma Bale was the early leader then after being checked by Cawbourne Jack, drifted towards the rear.Arnies First moved away in the home straight and held off the fast finishing Blue Paragon. No 5 Rumpole (G Calverley). Rule 259 - hock strain. Stand down 10 days to 23.03.04. VC held.
