Race 1 | AWESOME HAVOC AT STUD - C0 - 390 | Mrs Peel (4) was out well, took the lead in the run to the bend, was headed on the turn when she ran out wide, but rallied and went on to win by 2 lengths from Lockie Handcuffs (7) which took the lead briefly on the turn. Shortie Havoc (1) was out fast, drifted and was checked on the turn by dogs crossing to the rail, and tailed off last. Late scratching. Gwingana Token (P.B.Freeman), Rule 269.3 dog weighed in at 28.0kg, last started on 17/2/2004 at 30.0kg. No stand down. |
Race 2 | WWW.DOGTIPS.NET.NZ - C1 - 390 | My Perk (J.V.Busch) reweigh under Rule 269.1 at 34.2kg, last raced on 28/1/2004 at 32.4kg. Also had front wrists strapped under Rule 243 and papers endorsed accordingly.Ivory Deluxe (W.M.Tijsen) reweigh under Rule 269.1 at 25.6kg, last raced on 23/1/2004 at 27.4kg. Ivory Deluxe (1) jumped quickly to the lead and held on to win from Chainsaw Choppa (3) which was close up throughout. Favourite Homebush Jason (4) was very slow to trap, ran into traffic on the turn, and ran on fairly in the straight for 3rd. |
Race 3 | JUST FURNITURE - C1 - 457 | Cawbourne Stewy (2) was slow early, up third on the turn, and ran on strongly in the straight to get up on the line by a neck from Effervescence (8) which flew the traps and led for most of the trip. |
Race 4 | BOND CONTRACTS - C1 - 457 | Sydney's Legend (2) took the lead in the run to the turn and held on to win by a half-length from the favourite Cawbourne Pat (8) which ran on on the straight after a slow start. |
Race 5 | SOUTH DUNEDIN FURNITURE & BEDDING - C1 - 390 | Favourite King Louis (1) was out well, took the lead at the top of the straight and pulled away to win by 3 and three-quarter lengths from the early leader Homebush Frank (2). |
Race 6 | $20 MUZZLE STAKES - C0 - 457 | On the first pass of the lure the traps failed to open. The problem was traced to an electrical fault with the automatic trip. Dogs were removed from the traps, reloaded and the race started some 2 minutes late. Homebush Sid (1) took the lead from the jump and bolted in by 3 and three-quarter lengths from Chosen Fella (8) which ran on after a slow start. |
Race 7 | BOND ELECTRICAL - C1 - 390 | Lazy Harry (4) was slow to trap, got a rails run on the turn when the early leader Homebush Chimes (1) went out wide, and then bolted away to win by 4 and a quarter lengths from Homebush Chimes which held 2nd a head ftom the fast finishing Homebush Spot (6). Faithful Moth (J.T.McInerney), scratched at Christchurch GRC meeting on 3/3/2004 under Rule 329 up to and including 9/3/2004. |
Race 8 | SGRC GREYHOUND SUPPLIES - C2 - 390 | High Fever (6) took the lead in the run to the turn and held on to win by 2 lengths from kennel-mate Whata Tex (1) which led from the traps. |
Race 9 | ASCOT PARK RACEWAY - C3 - 390 | Homebush Kaycee (7) took the lead into the turn, was headed in the run home, and ran on again to get 2nd a nose to Here Goes (1) which took the lead in the run home. Dr Murdoch (9) flew home late for 3rd. Nuloo (J.T.McInerney), dog deceased. |
