Race 1 TUX STAKES - C2 - 457 Race clear.
Race 2 ALPHA HOTEL & RESTAURANT (KIHIKIHI) DASH - C0 - 375 Race clear.
Race 3 FRIENDSHIP STAKES - C1 - 457 Shay Lamour was positioned handy to lead in the early stages then checked and drifted towards rear where she was again checked - trailing the field home from that point. No 7 Unique Species (BRD Cole). Withdrawn with valid reason.
Race 4 STAR TAVERN SPRINT - C1 - 375 Lucky Ollie raced to an early lead after drawing the the inside box but only until Faithful Mittens, from the outside draw, rounded field, took control, and held strongly to the line. No 3 Robust Rock (B Hughes). Rule 259. Stand down 30 days to 20.03.04.
Race 5 CAMBRIDGE TYRE TRADERS LTD STAKES - C2 - 457 Minnie's Lady settled fourth mid-track in the mid-race stage, then entering the straight put in a sustained run down the track outer to take the decision in the final strides. No 5 Gimme Attitude (BRD Cole). Withdrawn with valid reason. .
Race 6 TOKOROA & DISTRICTS VET ASSOCIATIONS DASH - C1 - 375 Cameron Bale and Farmer John came into noticeable contact after the jump.
Race 7 PUB CHARITY STAKES - C1 - 457 Mr Bell, the import on debut, and favourite, was positioned well near the front in the early stages until he was put off stride badly when his back legs were taken out from under him by Gold Pot. Mr Bell regained his momentum to hold third. No 4 Astro Nerone (LD Fornasiere). Rule 259 - swollen torsos. Stand down 10 days to 27.02.04. VC held.
Race 8 KIRKHAM FAMILY DASH - C3/4 - 375 Tap To It dwelt slightly at the start but then accelerated round the outside, went to the front and ran impressively to the line. Tessa's Delight raced at the rear early then moved up into the main bunch - only to check off the back of Allegro Comet and to somersault outwards onto the track - into the path of Vegie Bill. Vegie Bill, although impeded his progress, adroitly avoided contact with the fallen greyhound. A post race veterinary examination cleared Tessa's Delight of injury.
Race 9 SOUTH WAIKATO CUP - C5 - 457 South Waikato Cup. Thrilling Sam was the slowest away and sought to cross immediately towards the rail but came into contact with Bitter Sammy on the way. Catch Me Soon and Idol Appeal disputed the lead in the early stages with Catch Me Soon taking control and surging away in the straight to win with ease. The kennel mate of the winner, Spotted Hand, finished strongly down the track outer for second. No 2 Karma's Kev (GA Cleeve). Rule 259 - fractured wrist. Stand down 28 days to 17.03.04. VC held.
Race 10 NEW WORLD (TOKOROA) STAKES - C4/5 - 457 Thunder Creek tailed off and was found to have been injured post race. No 5 Winsome Hero (K Walsh). Rule 259. Stand down 30 days to 19.03.04.
