Race 1 TXT4TIPS (M10 R? 8477) - C1 - 525 MAID OF QUEEN and ROSINA REASON were checked on the first corner and lost a little ground. SPRING REBEL began very awkwardly and lost several lengths. He recovered well to finish on for fourth place. JOHNNY RAY suffered a spike wound and was stood down for 5 days. JOHNNY RAY. Trainer Caffell / Jackson. Rule 329. Suffered from a spike wound and stood down for 5 days to 16.02.04.
Race 2 MAIDEN STAKES - C0 - 525 ICE FERN was severely tightened on the first corner and went back to last.
Race 3 EMPIRE HOTEL - PETONE - C3/4 - 525 This race started 3 minutes late due to delays at the Harness races. CUTIE'S DIAMOND was checked on the first corner and went back to last. He never recovered and finished well back.
Race 4 FOTODOG FOTOS - WGTN - C1 - 295 CECILIA LUGER and CECILIA BRYAN collided and lost ground on the first turn. Soon after, HOMEBUSH SHADOW moved in and checked SAI PHAR who dropped quickly back through the field and hindered GINGER TYLER as it went back. SAI PHAR then recovered to run on for 4th place.
Race 5 ACCSYS FOR QUICKBOOKS - C2 - 525 MINNIE'S LADY moved out on the first corner and collided with WINSOME ANGEL who fell but was not injured. SHEZA ZINGER was badly checked in the incident and lost all chance.
Race 6 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C1 - 525 This race was also late starting due to a request from the T.A.B. MISS CHEEKY was checked early in the race, dropped back several lengths and never recovered. CAWBOURNE STEWY checked off the heels of GAZZA'S BEAUTY on the first bend and they both lost ground.
Race 7 GOBIS CLUB BONUS SERIES FINAL - RESf - 525 BURN THE PEG was a late scratching after being found to have a groin injury. NOBLE JEWEL was galloped on by BUSTING OUT on the first turn and fell but was not injured. BUSTING OUT then ran very wide on the bend and covered extra ground. HOMEBUSH BRIAN faltered in the back straight and may have struck the rail. He finished a long distance behind the other runners and then went over the inside rail and was found to have suffered injuries which resulted in a 14 day stand down being imposed. BURN THE PEG. Trainer G.Cleeve. Rule 259. Late scratching due to a groin injury and stood down for 5 days to 16.02.04. HOMEBUSH BRIAN. Trainer J.McInerney. Rule 329 Struck the running rail and suffered from puncture wounds. Stood down for 14 days to 25.02.04.
Race 8 ANGLO UPHOLSTERERS DASH - C2/3 - 295 CRUZMORE, HOMEBUSH JASON, MICHAEL DIAMOND and WAG collided on the first corner and lost ground. They filled the last four places at the finish.
Race 9 SPICERS PAPERS DASH - C4/5 - 295 The favourite BLACK ALLEGRO was the slowest away but recovered well to run on for 2nd placing.
