Judicial report: Weather: Fine 1. Trainer BRD Cole was charged and pleaded guilty to nominating the greyhound Rusty Coconut in breach of Rule 172, in that the greyhound was not eligible for race 7, a class 1
race. The trainer was fined $100.00 by the Judicial Chairman.
2. Trainer MN Boyd accepted a charge brought against his greyhound Aranui Tui under
Rule 322.1.(a). that the greyhound had fought during the running of race 5. The greyhound was suspended for 30 days until the 04.03.04 in terms of Rule 322.2.(a).

| Race 4 | GOBIS CLUB BONUS SERIES HEAT 1 - RESq - 525 Heat 1 | Mister Zinger was slow to start. Token Echo was badly checked when struck from behind at the first bend and did not complete the race. A veterinary examination following the race found that Token Echo had been injured and a stand down was imposed. Homebush Brian cleared away from the field and held by a margin in excess of 6 lengths. No 2 Token Echo (GA Cleeve). Rule 329 - injury to left carpus. Stand down 21 days to 24.02.04. VC held. |
| Race 5 | GOBIS CLUB BONUS SERIES HEAT 2 - RESq - 525 Heat 1 | Burn The Peg was a convincing winner after leading throughout. Marluke finished strongly for second placing. During the running Aranui Tui was seen to fight with Hugh Dagg and was, post race, the subject of a suspension. No 2 Tighnabruich (OK Marron). Rule 259 - strained flexor tendon. Stand down 10 days to 12.02.04. VC held. No 8 Aranui Tui (MN Boyd). Rule 322.1- suspended for fighting for 30 days to 04.03.04. |

| Race 7 | BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHIC'S - C1 - 525 | Spade Time, the reserve from box 2, was slow to jump - then took the inner running as Spring Rebel moved off the rail and made late ground for second. When Spring Rebel moved off the rail he checked the back of Paws A Moment, causing that dog's hind quarters to dip onto the track. No 2 Rusty Coconut (BRD Cole). Withdrawn by NZGRA Executive. No 9 Happy Fella (SD Gommans). Rule 259. Stand down 30 days to 03.03.04. |
| Race 8 | GOBIS CLUB BONUS SERIES HEAT 4 - RESq - 525 Heat 1 | Saviola was the early leader and able to withstand a strong late bid by Busting Out. Lissadell Prince was slow to start and took until the first bend to recover the field - then moved over towards the rail where he was in contact with Homebush Bill, dragging the hind quarters of that dog down and then sprawling on all four legs on the track - both dogs being out of contention from that point. A post race veterinary examination cleared Lissadell Prince of injury. |
