| Race 1 | HAMILTON DISTANCE - C1d - 630 | Splicklez was quickly away and held from Hostile Deed until Orana City raced through on inner of track and sped away to seal the win from that point. Easter Man and Light Of Smile came together after the jump, squeezing and impeding the progress of Summer Buzz, drawn between them out of box six. All such dogs were affected - Easter Man in particular, being turned slightly side-on and scrambling to regain momentum. Heyoka Tess flared wide at the first bend - stayed towards the rear throughout. Heyoka Tess injured during running and subject of stand down. No 2 Heyoka Tess (S Mann). Rule 329, suffered biceps soreness during running. Stand down 10 days to 18.01.04. VC held. |
| Race 2 | GROUP ONE TURF BAR STAKES - C0 - 457 | Yukon Lane moved out from the jump and pushed Stallone wide. Entering the bend into the straight Lissadell Rover moved out and came into contact with Shezmy Scallywag, then Shezny Scallywag was shouldered sharply by Ardishah and into contact with Stallone, as that greynhound sought to move in towards the rail. There was a strong late run through the field by Miss Speedy Web, gaining a placing at the finish. |
| Race 3 | HILLCREST TAVERN SPRINT - C0 - 375 | Run Jimmy Run moved in quickly after the jump and collided shoulder to shoulder with Opening Time - that dog then coming into contact with Real Silence as a consequence. Opening Time flared wide in running and stayed wide, finishing towards the rear with Run Jimmy Run. |
| Race 4 | IMPROVERS HEAT 1 - C1q - 457 Heat 1 | Go Wild Chrissy angled through the field to take a position one off the rail and then accellerated away leaving the field in her wake. |
| Race 5 | CLUB HOUSE CAFE & BAR DASH - C1 - 375 | The favourite Flash Tyler was positioned handy to the lead when Norse Star bored in against her with running shoulder to shoulder contact - Flash Tyler drifted towards the rear and after further contact, this time with Lucky Ollie, was out of contention. No 8 Mr Big Head (HR & LD Scott). Rule 329 - injured during running at AGRC meeting on 07.01.04. Left shoulder injury. Stand down 10 days to 16.01.04. VC held. . |
| Race 6 | IMPROVERS HEATS 2 - C1q - 457 Heat 1 | Robust Rock crossed towards the track inner in the early stages and after shoulder contact with Eiffel Ami, the favourite, came off the rear of that dog and continued towards the rail - Robust Rock remained there only briefly however as he then moved back out sharply into the path of the dogs racing towards the rear, so impeding the progress of Looney Doll, Prairie Fire and Lissadell Prince. |
| Race 7 | IMPROVERS HEAT 3 - C1q - 457 Heat 1 | Yallah Ebony, a favoured runner, raced towards the rear after the jump, then moved quickly through the field to trail the leader, Androgyny, before checking off the back that dog and losing his momentum somewhat before being struck forcibly by Rikkilee Kiwi, at the head of the rear bunch, and falling heavily to the track. Campese Bale was forced to hurdle over the top of Yallah Ebony. A post race veterinary examination revealed that Yallah Ebony was suffering from radial paralisis and was subject to a stand down. This race was held in driving rain. No 3 Yallah Ebony ( K Walsh). Rule 329. Radial paralisis. Stand down 10 days to 18.01.04. VC held. |

| Race 9 | IMPROVERS HEAT 4 - C1q - 457 Heat 1 | My Journey and Muslie Man remained in contention and finished in the first four despite a strong shoulder to shoulder contact between them during the rounding of the bend. Mean Tyler, the favourite, was not really challenged in her run to the line after establishing an early lead. |

| Race 11 | IMPROVERS HEAT 5 - C1q - 457 Heat 1 | Smokin' Time and Faithful Bart came together shoulder to shoulder after the jump, then Buster Keaton moved out from the track inner to be in contact with Smokin' Time. Lowen Behold raced wide after the jump, moved across to the rail behind the leader, Golden Lobo, then at the straight entrance surged down the track inner to snatch the win in a close decision over Smokin Time and Ina Tizzy - Smokin' Time having finished strongly after her earlier setbacks. |
| Race 12 | PAPAMOA TAVERN STAKES - C2/3 - 457 | Mavriki Glider was the early leader, with Ballibeast trailing on the inner and Top Allegro on the outside. Entering the home straight Ballibeast took control but Mavriki Glider surged back and held lead at the line. Top Allegro was checked in the middle stages when Wolf Girl Jess moved out in the running and forced him wider but Top Allegro, from a position where only two dogs were behind him, launched a strong late run for third. No 4 Hot Discovery (B Hughes). Under stand down from AGRC meeting on 07.01.04. |
