The vets inspection revealed that the dog was suffering from acidosis and a 7 day spell was ordered. PRINCESS AROPHO ran out on the first corner and forced CUTIE'S PRINCE and JUBILANT MISS wide on the bend. MIIS MOSS. Trainer G.Phillips. Rule 329. | Race 2 | BEGINNERS STAKES - C0 - 520 | MONTOYA DUSTY was a late scratching when found to have an infected toe injury and a ten day stand down was imposed. FIFTY FIFTY ran in sharply from the start and caused checks to YUKON LANE, MAKE ME WILD and RONGOTEA REBEL and they settled well back. RONGOTEA REBEL appeared sore after the race and was examined by the vet who found a spike wound on the left wrist and ordered a 7 day stand down. | Race 3 | HOUSE OF TRAVEL DASH - C0 - 305 | .WOTAN moved across from the start and bumped FRYERS FLYER who was then galloped on by GREY HAVOC, dropped out to last and never recovered. WOTAN was then severely checked on the bend, lost several lengths and all chance of a placing. |
| Race 4 | WANGANUI SECURITY STAKES - C0 - 520 | RUBEN HALL was scratched due to a hip injury. CLASSY CULLEN was very slow away and lost several lengths. LISSADELL JANE was away well and raced handy until entering the back straight where she was galloped on by CLASSY CULLEN and almost brought down. A vets examination was ordered but cleared the dog of any injuries at that time. |

It could not be established whether the dog had been checked at that point but a close watch will be kept in the next few starts. HAPPY FELLA ran on at the end for 4th place. |
