| Race 1 | SANTA'S HURDLES - C1/2h - 505 | ROTARY TALENT jumped the second fence very awkwardly and went from a handy position, back towards the rear. The race was won in track record time by the very consistant CHIPPEWA BRAVE. |
| Race 2 | GARRANDS GEMTIME JEWELLERS HAWERA - C0 - 297 | HOMEBUSH JUNIOR was a late scratching when found to be seriously dehydrated at kenneling time. He was stood down for 30 days to recover. HOMEBUSH KERRY turned in the boxes and finished the race a long last. A box trial was ordered but was not completed satisfactorily and a further trial is required before the dog starts at a totalisator meeting. | Race 9 | ALBION TAVERN SHANNON - C1 - 297 | RUSTY ROVER and TIME PAYMENT collided on the first corner and lost ground. TIME PAYMENT was the most affected and he went back to last. CALM FLOW led into the first corner but then appeared to go off stride and had difficulty making the bend and went back to second place. She held that position to the finish. |
