| Race 1 | COMMUNITY GRANTS MAIDEN SPRINT - C0 - 375 | Kennelling did not commence as scheduled as the scales when checked prior were found to have an electronic fault. The W & D GRC Secretary was able to obtain a replacement set which were checked, then utilised until repairs were effected to the club's scales. Although kennelling progressed some 35 minutes late no disruption to a concernable level occurred. Race 1 was left with 7 starters after scratchings. I'm Wishing started best and following an early dispute with Flash Tyler for the lead, stepped clear and ran to the line for a convincing win. Stallone flared out wide at the bend into the straight, losing ground, whilst Jessica Driven, conceding ground after a slow start, ran on for third. No 5 Farmer Benson (B & L Craik). Rule 259 - left hind toe bruising. Stand down 10 days to 27.12.03. VC held. No 7 Althorpe (OK Marron). Rule 259 - skin and soft tissue injury above left hock. Stand down 10 days to 27.12.03. VC held. No 9 Grasscutter Bob. Rule 259. Stand down 30 days to 17.01.04. |
| Race 2 | IMPROVERS SPRINT HEAT 1 - C1q - 375 Heat 1 | Faithful Mittens took the lead early and held. Kiwi Mana ranged wide entering the bend into straight then made ground strongly for third. Looney Doll moved out and came into sharp contact with Prairie Fire at the straight entrance - both dogs were then towards rear and neither was looking likely to feature further. |

| Race 4 | PUB CHARITY MAIDEN STAKES - C0 - 457 | Pure Ebony missed the jump and immediately tailed off. Eiffel Ami bolted away from the field and held well to the winning post. There was a line of four dogs across the track for the minors, with Solo Cruise and Opening Time prevailing. |
| Race 5 | IMPROVERS SPRINT HEAT 2 - C1q - 375 Heat 1 | Tap To It, from then outside draw, was quickly to the front and ran virtually without challenge to record a winning margin in excess of eleven lengths.Benedict Bale was slow to start, conceding several lengths, then raced strongly through field for the second placing. . |

| Race 7 | NZ COMMUNITY TRUST STAKES - C1 - 457 | High Pockets, running on the inner entering the final bend, and being handily placed close to the leaders, then moved out and in so doing checked off the back of Androgyny - then sharply out further against King Louis. After this second contact High Pockets was observed to have turned his head sharply towards King Louis, as that dog struck the side of High Pockets after correcting his momentum. The trainer of High Pockets was requested to view a replay of the race, but no further action was warranted as the review clearly revealed that the head turning was a reflex action to being struck on the back. |

| Race 9 | HAMILTON DISTANCE - C1d - 630 | Cliston Bonnie was one of the quickest away from the jump, settled in second position, then midfield before moving forward to take control in the run down the back straight - maintaining momentum to score by a wide margin. Splicklez held for third at the line after racing wide through the early and middle stages. |
