SORT OF BLUE was a Club scratching due to being incorrectly entered in the wrong grade. CECILIA BRYAN was slow to begin and settled well back. ARANUI JAZZ was checked on the first turn and lost a couple of lengths. HOMEBUSH NED. Trainer S.Gardner Rule 259 Suffering from a metacarpal injury to the right hind leg. | Race 6 | IMPROVERS SPRINT HEAT 4 - C1q - 295 Heat 1 | KAL'S GOLD was checked in the race to the first corner when PRESIDENT UNO moved in towards the rail. Soon after, HAWK DREAMER moved in and tightened HOMEBUSH CHIMES and RIPPA DON who both fell. RIPPA DON received slight injuries to the right foreleg and was stood down for 5 days but HOMEBUSH CHIMES was uninjured. TOKEN ANSWER and KAL'S GOLD were both hindered in the incident and lost any chance of a placing. RIPPA DON Trainer J.Manihera Rule 329 Fell and injured stopper pad. 5 day stand down to 22.11.03. |
| Race 7 | WELLINGTON STAYERS CUP HEAT 1 - C2dq - 758 Heat 1 | WHISKY PETE moved out to avoid the heels of CALM ABIDING on the first bend and checked OUR MADGE and MISS BLUE VELVET who were pushed wide. OUR MADGE and SHAVE THE SHEEP collided sonn after as they came into the straight. CUTIE'S DIAMOND led into the bend with a circuit to run but then eased up and went back to fifth. He then started to persue again and finished in fourth place. A charge under Rule 322 (1) (b) and (2) (a) was laid and found proven and CUTIE'S DIAMOND was stood down for one month and will be required to Trial under Rule 241 before its next Totalisator start. | Race 8 | EMPIRE HOTEL - PETONE DASH - C2 - 295 | GO MOJO was very slow away and lost several lengths. CRUZMORE moved out on the first corner and checked BLACK PANDORA who lost ground. CHIPPEWA BRAVE and BLACK PANDORA then made contact on the home turn with BLACK PANDORA getting off balance and losing momentum. She finished in last place. |

DR KINGSLEY ran out from the start and checked SHAWNEE BRAVE and BROWNING BALE who settled well back. BROWNING BALE then made contact with TROYBADOR on the first turn and ran wide on the bend.
