| Race 1 | WELCOME STAKES - C0 - 297 | NITE HAWK LADY, DISSIPATE and RAINBIRD came together soon after the start and jostled for several strides. RAINBIRD moved out on the bend and bumped MANAIA'S MYTH who lost ground and tailed the field home. |
| Race 2 | AWAPUNI LIQUORLAND - C0 - 505 | The favourite GOTTA BOLD BOY was the slowest away and only battled to finish well back. GOTTA BOLD BOY was latter placed in the Trainers car and was found in a distressed condition and stood down for fourteen days due to hyperthermia. UNO BILLY JOE was pushed out on the first turn, collided with PITTER PATTER and they both ran wide and almost fell. PITTER PATTER was uninjured but UNO BILLY JOE received an injured hock and will spell for 7 days. GOTTA BOLD BOY. Trainer N.Cobain Rule 329 Suffering from hyperthermia. 14 day stand down to 20.11.03. | Race 3 | OXFORD HOTEL STAKES - C0 - 505 | LISSADELL PRINCE was scratched and started in Race 10. HOMEBUSH KERRY turned in the boxes, missed the start and lost all chance. She then underwent a box trial which was acceptable. WISH MASTER was slow to begin and tailed the field throughout. The dog was examined by the vet who cleared it of any injury at that time. | Race 4 | ALBION TAVERN SHANNON - C1 - 297 | TIME PAYMENT was slow away but showed good speed to be handy by the first corner. He only battled from there and finished well back. |
| Race 5 | CLARENDON HOTEL WAVERLEY - C1 - 505 | SOBERANO was scratched and is now deceased. MISS RUMMO was scratched due to a pad injury. One of the favourites UPAHUT ROSE was checked entering the back straight and went from being handy back to second last place. She recovered to rush home for fifth place. The favourite TUSCANY BALE settled well back and only battled to finish mid-field. ENROLLMENT appeared sore after the race and was stood down for 7 days with abrasions to its pads. SOBERANO. | Race 6 | BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C1 - 505 | UNO I KNOW was scratched Ex Wanganui on 06.11.03. EARLY SUMMER was scratched due to medical reasons which were considered to be valid. MR LUKE was scratched and started in race 6. PAWS A MOMENT was checked on the first turn and went from a handy position back to the rear and never recovered. | Race 7 | WANGANUI CAR CENTRE - C1/2 - 297 | One of the favourites ASTRO'S DIAMOND ran onto the heels of SARKAMORE on the first corner, almost fell and went back to last. CHALKE'S HONCHO and KALI MIST were hindered in the incident and pushed wide on the bend. KALI MIST was checked on the home turn, ran out and collided with SARKAMORE and CHALKE'S HONCHO and they all jostled for a few strides at the rear. |
| Race 8 | MANAWATU SECURITY SERVICE - C2 - 505 | The favourite TIGHNABRUICH was jostled and tightened for several strides in the race to the first corner and went from a handy position to back near the rear. He made up some ground to finish in 4th place. WISE COMMENT was slow away and tailed the field throughout. |
| Race 9 | GERRANDS GEMTIME JEWELLER HAWERA - C3/4 - 505 | SHE SHEPHERD galloped onto the heels of MEGA SAKI and BLUE HIKER on the first bend and lost ground. CUTIE'S DIAMOND ran out and checked off the heels of HELLO KELLY entering the back straight. CUTIE'S DIAMOND then moved up inside HELLO KELLY in the back straight and then appeared to ease on the last bend before running home for second place. The Trainer stated that the dog has never handled the tight bends at Manawatu well and so CUTIE'S DIAMOND was given the of some doubt on this occasion. SHE SHEPHERD moved out on the home turn and struck the hindquarters of HELLO KELLY, turning that runner slightly. |
| Race 10 | EBONY CRYSTAL JUVENILE - R/A - 505 | MINNIE LASS was scratched due to an injury. JO JO SAM checked off the heels of RAPID REGGAE on the first turn, moved out and pushed SHEEHAN very wide. MINNIE LASS. Trainer I.Mullin Rule 259 Suffering from a leg injury. 10 days to 14.11.03. |
| Race 11 | PALMERSTON NORTH STAKES - C1d - 715 | DARK RUE ANGEL and MR MANGERTON ran very wide throughout and covered extra ground. DARK RUE ANGEL moved out soon after the start and checked MONTOYA FOG, KIWI COMMAND and ARANUI TUI. |
